Chaotic matter is to be found in deep, open-pit mines. It is unshaped substance. Exotic matter manifests into statues, churches etc. It is unsubstanced shape, the stuff thoughts and emotions are made out of.

Continuing a discussion with Quantumingress Effectingress​ from another thread, so as not to tangent it any father. I conclude (from everything I've seen and read on the subject) that Resistance and Enlightened control fields have exactly the same effects on the human minds within them. I still don't have enough data for a definitive list of what all of those effects are, but at the very least both allow the minds within to be "patterned," or copied. Jarvis and ADA both seem to agree on this point. Regarding actual mind control, the only clear example of that I'm aware of is ADA's Ingressing of Klue (and possibly her experiments on 855 before that) and I've seen no indication that control fields of either frequency were involved in this. There has been lots of talk of a subtler "influence", and certainly some of the earlier anomalies appeared to sway the targeted individuals' allegiance toward the faction which dominated them. But I don't...

So, is the current thinking that XM emerges into our universe via Portals? While Dark XM appears to have a terrestrial source (deep mines, magma lakes...)?

Man it has been a while since I posted in here as things came up during Darsana.  You may have noticed that I have now switched to the Enlightened recently.  I tell you it is possibly because of trying to hack the Jarvis and ADA virus to make them more powerful.   Let me start from the beginning. Investigator Daniel Hawley brought this to my attention earlier.  Kookynie is an old Gold Mining town.  By now, we all know that Dark XM can be found in these types of mines/caves near gold deposits. I believe Hubert Farlowe is looking for some leverage against Antoine Smith.  Smith was almost killed by Dark XM once.  It may be the one thing Farlowe can utilize to get what he wants out of him. Strategic Explorations and Smith may be found poking around in the same areas, looking for more Dark XM to harvest as well.  I wonder if they are trying to experiment and see if Devra Bogdanovich's vaccine protects her against the effects of Chaotic matter as well... To try and clarify what could have been going on with Klue S.  and her mission, and make it easier to know if we should go forwards on helping her, I've studying the last communications, the change on the dynamic between A Detection Algorithm  Klue S.  and the inclusion on H. Richard Loeb  again on that dynamic. The first thing we got from this come from a mission leak. A conversation between ADA and Klue is in here the first one is concerned about a series of leak that only she could release, but she haven’t. This was also, the first time that we were show that something was not right on their relation. the honeymoon between them has finished. I'd been staring at the communication between Yuen Ni and Antoine Smith regarding Devra Bogdanovich and noticed two curves on the page. I thought it looked interesting and merited a closer look. To my eyes it looks like 8242433185608v464 for the top line and 5433642475545873z on the lower line. Granted it feels like trying to see one of those silly recaptcha codes. I'm not great when it comes to decrypting and wasn't sure if anyone was working on this one. I'd recommend looking at the document on Niantic Project as the photo I've attached is my best attempt to copy the picture and other eyes might see better.

The words on the building are in Kannada, a language that is spoken in the state of Karnataka, India(also my home state). 'ಕೈಲಾಸ ಮಂಟಪ' is 'Kailasa Mantapa' or 'Shiva Temple'. On searching a little further, it turns out this particular temple is located in Hubli, Karnataka.
