Thoughts on the nature of the scanner app.

Thoughts on the nature of the scanner app. This mostly stems from my endeavour to acquire the obsidian Guardian badge and reach level 8. Hacking a portal controlled by a rival faction will gain you 100 AP, while a portal controlled by your own faction won’t raise any AP for hacking and after that there’s 10 AP for each resonator recharged and 75 AP for every resonator upgraded. More AP can be gained from Glyph Hacking or moding but there are only 4 mod slots per portal and interest in Glyph Hacking seems to vary. Mindfields are a strong generator of AP, but I feel they have negative consequences to the ebb and flow if they are abused, as no field can be formed inside one. Also if a mindfield is reliant on one specific portal to hold it together then it will fall either by resonator decay or the actions of an opposing faction. Despite being on opposite sides the ENL and the RES appear to need each other. This was illustrated clearly to me at a NL-1331E event where ENL players needed RES...

I'd been looking at wearable tech for Ingress and discovered the Nex Band Evolution and Ingress Mod Band which are pretty much the same thing. I'm not sure who to contact to see what is happening regarding the Band and advancements with software interaction. I've been in contact with Nex Band Support, but they're waiting on updates from Niantic. There was a flurry of activity back around the 5th of January this year and odd articles from 2016 about seeing a sign at a Niantic booth at Via Lux in Denver. On a separate note, I have some observations about the scanner that I had experienced earlier this year and was wondering if it would be okay to post my observations here.

I'd been staring at the communication between Yuen Ni and Antoine Smith regarding Devra Bogdanovich and noticed two curves on the page. I thought it looked interesting and merited a closer look. To my eyes it looks like 8242433185608v464 for the top line and 5433642475545873z on the lower line. Granted it feels like trying to see one of those silly recaptcha codes. I'm not great when it comes to decrypting and wasn't sure if anyone was working on this one. I'd recommend looking at the document on Niantic Project as the photo I've attached is my best attempt to copy the picture and other eyes might see better.

Not exactly sure where to put this.

Not exactly sure where to put this. I'd been offered free copies of Volumes 1 and 2 of the Niantic Project Files after posting a comment where I wondered what a 13MAGNUS was, since I was convinced it was something akin to the cult of Osiris, though  Ezekiel Calvin specifically refers to spending his entire career hunting a 13MAGNUS . I'd already purchased both volumes and this is really to put the next part in context. I started  reading through the part in Volume 2 relating to 13MAGNUS. The thing that puzzled me was the report compiled for Dr. Paul School by Devra Bogdanovich. I'd been hoping for a little clarity on the subject of 13MAGNUS. I found the book she mentioned Misterios De La Inquiscion on the Archive.org website. Devra mentions a woodcut page falling from a book that Hank was reading. This was the trigger for their impromptu visit to the church which had 13MAGNUS glyphs and their breakin at SETI. One of my ponderings had been the connections between 13MAGNUS an...
