I have discovered something I believe is significant. It will take some explaining, so(tl;dr implied) here goes

The argument:

1. Embedded within Hindu and Buddhist tradition is a type of spiritual/religious symbol known as Mandala.

Quoting the wiki page:
"Mandala (Sanskrit: मण्डल Maṇḍala, 'circle') is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the Universe. The basic form of most mandalas is a square with four gates containing a circle with a center point."

In Buddhism in particular, there is a specific Mandala assigned to represent the energy of each deity.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandalas

2. According to Mahayana Buddhist iconography, there are three Bodhisattvas(bodhi = enlightened, sattva = being) placed around the Buddha to protect him: Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri and Vajrapani.

Quoting from http://goo.gl/4O55u0 : "Each of them symbolizes one of the Buddha's virtues: Manjusri manifests all the Buddhas' wisdom, Avalokitesvara manifests all the Buddhas' compassion and Vajrapani manifests all the Buddhas' power."

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manjusri

3. The image attached in Hank's last post( http://goo.gl/Bz3zHr , first image in the album) is something known as the 'Manjuvajra mandala'. According to Tibetan Buddhist custom, it is a 2-dimensional representation of the Bodhisattva Manjusri (covered in point number 2). Manjusri, as mentioned, symbolises the Buddha's wisdom.

4. In the latest video- (INGRESS REPORT | HANK & JAHAN: THE TEMPLE: http://youtu.be/JOoSyl1qFyU ) Hank and Jahan are seen in a temple, retrieving the artifact. Hank pulls the artifact out from behind an idol (pictures 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the album). It turns out that this idol is a particular form of Bodhisattva Manjusri known as Namasangiti Manjusri. (picture 7) This form is especially popular in Nepal.

(Idol is seen around 0:03 and again around 0:11)

The conclusion:

This artefact is obviously associated with Bodhisattva Manjusri; which would lead one to assume that it imparts wisdom(that which Manjusri represents) to the person who possesses it.

However, it is the combination of wisdom, compassion AND the power to wield it(a sum total of the qualities represented by the three Bodhisattvas as described in point number 2) that constitutes the Buddha. True enlightenment can never be attained by possessing only one in the absence of the other two. This is the delusion under which both sides of the story are working.

Neither will succeed. Both will instead lead the world to chaos.

(The logical continuation of this argument, of course, is that there should be 2 additional artifacts that: a. The cult of N'zeer already possess, in which case we should support them; or b. Haven't been discovered yet, which will lead us to the inevitable end of the world if the wisdom artifact in the video is used in their absence.)

  7. That's an interesting trinity.  I wonder if it might not refer to something other than physical artifacts?  Even without possessing inherent power the artifact seems to provide historical evidence of some of Hank Johnson's theories.  That may represent wisdom in itself.

We have several examples of great power - the N'Zeer, ADA and XM engineering (sometimes inspired by what we call Shapers) being the most prominent.

As for compassion, that's going to come down to the heart of whomever acts.  Clearly we have seen many examples of people with the wisdom to plan and the power to act who are not driven by compassion for the world in their goals, and some who are well intentioned and empowered but lack the wisdom to choose a positive direction.  Who have we seen that has always acted with wisdom and compassion that could be trusted with potentially limitless power?

  8. Excellent analysis! One idea that just came to me, though - what if the artifact isn't the tool itself, but a pointer to the being that embodies that virtue? Hank Johnson is an XM being of research - a seeker of wisdom - so he found this artifact. Admittedly, Roland Jarvis would seem to embody power (also an XM being). The question is, who embodies compassion?

  17. Typhoon Jim yep.. True that. There are references to Shiva in some of his posts as well.

https://plus.google.com/117792105926525258257/posts/TVdnWtQjF6g - this very carving is found in the ellora caves in aurangabad, Maharashtra. It's something called a ravananugraha. https://plus.google.com/117792105926525258257/posts/JMhPwv6q8Ft - Durga again, unless I'm mistaken.

The temple Hank stumbled into was a Shiva temple - https://plus.google.com/106539337301052775402/posts/2oEex28q3DY

And as you said, it's mentioned in the video.

The constant reference to Shiva would merit a post of it's own, but I've been unable to trace some of the images accurately enough to prove the connection.

  19. Okay so yeah- we need an id on the second and third links. There's no reference to the creator or preserver yet; only repeatedly to the destroyer and incarnations of his wife.

Also worth noting and of relevance to this discussion is that in the police interrogation video, Jahan mentions that Hank is studying a text written in Pali. Pali text = Buddhist text. Pali was the language of commoners. All texts until the Buddhist period were in Sanskrit, which only the elites could understand. Buddhism sought to break social barriers by producing all texts in Pali so they could be understood by everyone. This is possibly the main reason Buddhism took prevalence over Hinduism in India between 500BC-1000AD.

^ Means the story from the interrogation video to this point certainly revolved more around Buddhist and not Hindu iconography. We'd be hard pressed to pursue the creator-preserver-destroyer triad, because that's a primarily Hindu idea.

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pali
Pali reference somewhere in this video: INGRESS REPORT | JAHAN: THE INTERVIEW: http://youtu.be/5nrIZeCKmQE

    A few questions remain unanswered:

Assuming all of this is true, where do the N'zeer fit into all of it? Seems the N'zeer have surpassed the Shapers to become the new biggest threat(/asset(yeah right)) to humanity.

What is the nature of these artefacts? Are there 2 more? Are the N'zeer/antimagnus the only people trying to gain control of them?

    Who does Hank represent?

What role will the resistance play in this complicated plot? Their(our) role is still highly ambiguous.
