Hello, Essexians.
Hello, Essexians. After a discussion, we will be producing Operation Essex challenge coins. These will be member-only coins, so please do not share this form with people who are not in the community. Also, we will cross-check that people who order the coins are, in fact, Essex members with the community.
Prices and more details are specified on the form.
Because of time constraints, orders will only be open until tomorrow 23:59 EST time. Please, make sure to get your orders in.

You're killing me, man. I just ordered German coins and the Robwear coins. Seriously. KILLING ME! (Yeah, I'm ordering now.)
ReplyDeleteYou can't deny these are beautiful. (I've ordered the other two too, probably going to go bankrupt on swag)
ReplyDeleteThey are. I admit it! But... I'm going to weigh 10lbs extra from just coins in my pocket, soon!
ReplyDeleteRyAnne Fultz But at least now we can justify buying a coin display case soon :D
ReplyDeleteSimon Green You mean making one, right? :D I'm learning to etch glass soon. It could be fantastic!
ReplyDeletePinning this and temporarily adjusting community access for the sake of this going smoothly.
ReplyDeleteRyAnne Fultz swag-ception

ReplyDeleteOrdered my max of 2! If you are just short of your 100 goal let me know.
ReplyDelete✌
ReplyDeleteDang first link amp patch then this wonderful work Jose tips hat
ReplyDeleteI know there was some talk about adding glyphs around the edge. I imagine those plans are not compatible with the accelerated timeline?
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Paul Gettle.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...adding glyphs? Please say the glyphs will be on Essex coin v.2.0
ReplyDeleteDaniel Beaudoin If there is a v2.0 coin. But for now it's impossible - that design had already been sent for a mock-up and another one will take some more time, and they would not arrive in time.
ReplyDeleteOne day. One day.
ReplyDeleteThere's no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid people.
ReplyDeleteBearing that in mind I hope I don't sound like a stupid person by asking: what are these coins all about? Do they have some tie in to the game, or some piece of a larger puzzle?
Or are these more akin to like... Operation Essex T-Shirts? Novelty collectors items whose worth is merely how much you would like having one?
Paul Vinet A bit more than other collectable swag, as this potentially can net you free drinks when Operation Essex members are gathered.

Yes, this will indeed warrant more Essex post anomaly meet-ups for this very purpose.
ReplyDeletePaul Vinet What Paul Gettle mentioned. Plus, they are one-run only, meaning you will probably not find another opportunity to get it. Just for the first Essex members.
ReplyDeleteFive Operation: Essex members meet up at a bar. One agent, on a whim, challenges the other agents to present their Essex Challenge Coin. If one of the agents present does not have their coin with them, they must buy a round for the group. If all of the members present do have their coins with them, the agent that issued the challenge must buy the round instead.
ReplyDeleteLet's do that sometime soon, shall we?
ReplyDeleteI think it should be mandatory for us to meet up at all Primary anomalies. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's not fair! I have a job! And swag to pack and mail.
ReplyDeleteLast 20 mins. Checking on names and sending emails out soon.
ReplyDeleteI missed this round, will we get a second chance any time soon?
ReplyDeleteLonnie Garrett Please PM me and I'll see what I can do.
ReplyDeleteOh well...maybe next time. I'm missing out on so much swag right now :-(
ReplyDeleteJulie Baker Can you please PM me? I'll see if there's any cancelled orders.
ReplyDeletecrap missed this one :<
ReplyDeleteJulie Baker Sent you a PM, please check.
ReplyDelete@Paul Gettle Thank you for the link to the wikipedia page--I was not familiar with the concept of "challenge coins." Makes much more sense now.
ReplyDeleteDamn missed it. Grr. ;-)
ReplyDeleteDamn, I don't suppose anyone bought an extra they'd be willing to sell?
