I sat down today to enjoy the Ingress Report when I noticed the subliminal images are back. These little teasers about the future...Who is adding these? Anyway. This week it appears that the Cosmological Mandala with Mount Meru, from the Yuan dynasty (1271–1368) has graced us.
"This mandala is in the form of the Tibetan cosmological diagram. In the center is Mount Meru, the axis of the cosmos, surrounded by oceans and mountains of the four quarters.",-src http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/works-of-art/1989.140
"At the center is the mythological Mount Meru, represented as an inverted pyramid topped by a lotus, a Buddhist symbol of purity. Traditional Chinese symbols for the sun (three-legged bird) and moon (rabbit) appear at the mountain’s base. The landscape vignettes at the cardinal directions represent the four continents of Indian mythology but follow the conventions of Chinese-style “blue-and-green” landscapes." -src http://www.metmuseum.org/collection/the-collection-online/search/39738
