  1. I refuse to call these 'clues', or even 'breadcrumbs'. They're bits and pieces of a story of Obsidius.

  2. So, it seems this latest Intel all but confirms that Obsidius was a sensitive. It appears increasingly unlikely that he was a simulacrum, at least at this point in the story. Seems like an interesting character....

  3. It seems that it doesn't require being simulacrum to leave breadcrumbs, only to be XM sensitive. Hopefully the Niantic researchers and sensitives left /something/ in the portal network before they lost their memories.

I doubt he can blend in with the Germanic tribes as they look vastly different from the people of the Mediterranean.

"I suspect that the offshoot sect will be much more effective in subverting the empire from within." --> Christianity?

  4. Could the narrator be Publius Quinctilius Varus? He served the Romans in Judea and then in Germany. [Edit. No. The dates for Titus are too late. Sorry! lol.]

  5. Yik Sheng Lee True. I merely meant that he is definitely a sensitive. At this point in the narrative at least, if he is also a simulacrum he doesn't seem aware of it. He ascribes his proficiency as an exploratore and speculatore to skill and experience. I just don't see evidence, yet, to suggest that he is a simulacrum. Of course, as the conclusion of Abaddon demonstrated, simulacrum are capable of not beif aware of their condition. Perhaps ignorance of their nature as simulacra is the norm and those such as Hank Johnson who are successful in informing their future recursions are the rare exceptions
