My Edgar Allan Wright timeline theory
This is my hypothetical timeline of what happened with Edgar Allan Wright
I am asking for further extrapolations, fact-checks, and criticisms on the topic.

1) Waratah - Calvin oversaw this think tank. They were experimenting with remote participation, Calvin pulled in Nigel Moyer to introduce and oversee the use of XM to exponentially increase the results of these experiments. Due to the introduction and controlled use of XM, they obtained positive results. The positive result yield motivated them to attempt another think tank.
2) Marie Celeste - This is the next think tank that Calvin supervised, the use XM of was done again, this time, the participants felt confident enough to not required Nigel Moyer's presence to oversee the use of XM. This oversight caused Dr. Wright to push farther than they did in Waratah, putting himself at risk. This caused a crack in his mind at the culmination of Marie Celeste, though again they yielded positive results, which motivated them to do another think tank.
3) Whydah - Again Calvin headed this think tank, since XM yielded positive results during the last two, they decided to use CM instead, in the belief that since it is more potent, they would yield even more positive results. The experimenting continued and Dr. Wright again took even more risks, but because of the unpredictable nature of Chaotic Matter combined with over stressing himself caused him to be mentally fragmented over the span of the multiverse, including a fragment of Dr. Wright in the Prime universe.

If the reason why Dr. Wright caused fragmentation of memory is CM, why is not it collapsed by CM poisoning?
ReplyDeleteI suspect that it was a combination of a little CM use and Dr. Wright pushing too far
ReplyDeleteI think it's something else: the very point of these exercises was to synchronize people across universes. EAW's apparent fragmentation is just us being out of synch with him.
ReplyDeleteNotice how the prime versions of certain people are really similar to each other in a lot of ways, but differ substantially? It would be pretty powerful to be able to know what all those possible versions of yourself know all at the same time, but it would be pretty hard to explain to people not in the same circumstances.
Being the case that Mary Celeste is the name of a recovered ghost ship and the other two the name of sunken ships I believe you are right: EAW main fragmentation event occured during Mary Celeste. Despite the fact that the initiave was probably named before the fragmentation happened... makes sense.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that the experiments are in the right order? Why would EAW participate in Whydah with is mind already broken?
I think that EAW honestly didn't know that stressing himself the way he did caused the initial crack. As I said.. This is all theory and the way forward is to scrutinize it
