The alchemy circle behind The Alchemist is most likely the transmutation circle(錬成陣, Renseijin) on Full metal Alchemist. This circle has appeared at a high school in Los Angels on Dec.19th 2012. The Epiphany night was Dec.1st 2012. What does it mean?

  1. The Hermetic seal-- both FMA and Niantic are drawing from the same historical context.

  2. This could mean that there is a possible connection.

  3. I was looking for the meaning of the symbols but couldn't find. This alchemy circle existed before FMA? Or its fictional one?

  5. Great find Ahimsa 4w0R1d! The circle is a symbol of unity and spirituality, of wholeness and interconnection of everything. In alchemy, there is the principle of “All is One and One is All,” hence the shape.

Further readings to the symbols might be found here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alchemical_symbol

  6. It quite Depends on what kind of circle: the corner of this one is i think all precoius metals... The Center circle is Gold. The triangle i would Say is water (If there would be a triangle to the top its fire)
It could also go for planets for the outer signs... And the lines of the hexagonal is the precoius metals..
It really Depends on the System. To identify the correct values... And in end its still Alchemie

  7. The symbols around the outside correspond to planets: from the bottom, going clockwise: the Sun, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, no idea, probably the Moon, and Saturn, the planets known since antiquity.

  8. Jeffrey Hueseman there is also some scripts which Say its metals and not planets... It really Depends from which time and area the circle is
Old greece, Roman, german or Scandinavian... And which year

  9. Achim S.. If you reverse the symbol it implies that there is a second missing callibration grid point.

  10. Yes Mario Valenzuela II the transmutation circle is for me the missing link between the glyph grid and metatron’s cube grid theory.

  11. One quick point on medieval alchemy, "as above, so below" essentially, the sky, the planets, the elements, etc. Are all considered variations on the same thing. Kind of like fractals.

  12. Thanks guys. Achim S. Wow! I googled metatron's cube and it is very similar to ingress glyph. C Mcglynn that's as known as Emerald tablet right?

  17. Just read througg FMA. one approach they overlook: for many alchemists, the process is spiritual not physical. So, lead represents an unrefined soul, gold represents an enlightened soul. Tramsmutations are stages of enlightenment, rather than changes in materials. Different planets, elements etc. are more or less parts of what modern people might call psychological aspects.
