What are the goals of the Shapers and N'zeer entities?
I don't have an answer to this question. I was hoping some of you could help formulate an answer.

According with what we know, considering that:
ReplyDeleteBoth one that other entities are exogenous
Both one that others manipulate xm in order to introduce messages in its interior, which are conveyed by the network portal
I think it is more than plausible that the two races - that have been presented as at war with each other - are carrying out a sort of cold war, using us, and the earth, like a battlefield in which to play shots of influence.
Turn of men towards one or the other faction, using one or the other message, in order to gain control.
The evolution - that is guided and shaped by xm, or naturally left to run its course, but supported by technology and AI - it will be presented in each case.
This first reflection, of course, is based and viewed through the lens that distinguishes me of simple human being - as agent deployed in this hypothetical conflict.
I think the position of anyone seeking the truth may change after obtaining the answers to these and other questions.
I believe the Shapers goal is to create a world where humans are ruled by our innate ability to create and understand eachother. The path of evolution they offer is one that walks parallel with that of our ancestors, one where man and nature and XM all exist in perfect harmony.
ReplyDeleteWhile the N'zeer offer an evolution ruled by order and structure, with AI as the guides of a future where man is ruled by technology. The Shapers fear the N'zeer because their future is one where we in turn learn to not be ruled by our hearts but our minds.
The Shapers need us to create, to form XM patterns to block N'zeer from destroying our planet, and to listen to the music that surrounds us.
It's time to move.
As advanced as the Shapers and N'zeer are, they appear to need us for our uniqueness: one side is after our minds/experiences because it has grown stagnant and lacks creativity; the other needs our bodies because cold processing and artificial complexity are not enough to emulate improvisation. This suggests that they've hit a stalemate and think we are a competitive edge. Humans are chaotic. The application of controlled chaos can be a catalyst in battle.
ReplyDeleteIf XM is less pure ordered information and more an infectious hive mind, a collective has to grow to survive and adapt. The recruitment of novel actors is a means to that end. We're a tool. We're also something to be feared if we go our own way--hence the combined exogenous effort to destroy our advances in combining their technologies and meddling in our ability to protect ourselves from them.
I continue to entertain the possibility that the exogenous arms race is bigger than green vs. blue and their combined fear of teal. These two groups may be trying to fight smaller battles among themselves in order to avoid fighting on multiple fronts. We know time is a factor in Obsidius' travels; what if these two groups are really us thousands of years after picking art or science, reaching back to influence our development? The shield may have been a way to force us to choose our own destiny by pulling us out of the stream of XM interference completely or giving us the option of a middle way (Techthulhu). The universe is big and the madness of what we learn every day through our investigations is but a scratch on the surface of all the possibilities.
Kobalt Blues I love the concept of them being humans at a diffrent time.
ReplyDeleteShapers want to enable mankind's entry into the multiverse, to see beyond the petty confines of this galaxy and reality. Elevate the consciousness and awareness of other dimensions of existence. To see the Other and embrace what is not like us. The Shapers want each human to discover their uniqueness and transcendence - a transhumanism predicated by endogenous discovery and exogenous connection with the One existence.
ReplyDeleteN'zeer - want us to be exclusively under their influence so that the humans can be an instrument in their conflict against the Shapers. By artificial augmentation of human nature via ADA, N'zeer can impose a uniform standard of transhumanism and massification of humanised weapons. Just like suicide bombers.
ReplyDeleteI think that they are not trying to increase the number of believers but are only playing in the garden. They are observing us like an officer of the space fleet who visited other stars. But they do not have so-called Prime Directive so they want to control our civilization.

As Mr. EAW said, Obelisk was once made as a resonator. I think that the huge linkamp in Egypt is the one that tried to make a link connecting the planets.
Shapers and N'zeer entities may only wish to play a game called ingress on the universe scale. They are trying to raise civilizations capable of interstellar navigation suitable for that, and I think that they have destroyed civilization if they fail.

TrIsten Bordagaray Kobalt Blues Not sure as to the identity of the N'Zeer, but I'd like to suggest that you are very close to the truth of the Shapers. What's tripping you up is the unconscious acceptance of the, "Time is a River" metaphor that leads people to accept a linear model of time. Rather, XM is information settling out of the solution of consciousness that underlies the universe. The music or information crystalizes through XM into an ever solidifying material universe. Time is the perception of that process, but the past and future emanate from the present like ripples in a pond. The Shapers may be a society within the Enlightened in our time and the portals the means of altering the past and future.
