In response to an Edgar Allan Wright post about ancient cultures and XM investigators of history, the first thing that comes to mind are the ancient Egyptians.
Immortality was a driving force behind the obsessions of many ancient cultures. The Ancient Egyptians especially were obsessed with the concept of the afterlife/immortality. Consider the state of Jarivs currently, he is a living embodiment of mummification. They called those in charge of the process 'Priests" in Egypt, but perhaps a modern equivalent would be an XM Scientist?
The Temple of Seti was especially known for its works of art and sculpture- but interestingly enough some strange hieroglyphs were found. Perhaps the ancient Egyptians succeeded at creating an early Tecthulhu and had similar visions as Lovecraft, a future they could not understand but merely attempt to interpret. Perhaps Seti the 1st himself was a powerful XM sensitive merely trying to interpret the will of the Shapers or the N'zeer

If you look to the right of the helicopter you will also see images that appear to be a boat above a jet airplane. Did a XM scientist time travel back to old egypt. Thoughts to ponder my enlightened friends. Sparklesdog.
ReplyDelete... and if it's just "old Egypt" trying to make sense of what they saw using the words they had available to them???? like Giorgio Tsoukalos from the tv show Ancient Aliens on the History Channel was saying.... i forget which episode it was .. but he was interviewing one of the Hopi elders about the legends of the Kachinas visiting Earth with "flying shields" .. according to him those were words the Hopi had available to them that they were using to describe UFOs .. in the classic "flying saucer" shape ... and before you ask .. yes that relies on ancient legends about "gods" and "magic" being extraterrestrial beings and their technology, which humanity at the time didn't understand..and had to label with the words they had available to them...
