It's #FlashbackFriday - some of you might not be familiar with the voice you recently heard in the scanner. That is an excerpt from the Redemption Speech by the Enlightened's Roland Jarvis.
It was released in August 2013 via 36 Media items that investigators, many from Operation Essex, helped to compile and decrypt. It was an exciting time and an impressive display of cooperation from agents from both factions. This experience brought new investigators into fold.

ReplyDeleteI think the consensus at the time was that ADA and Jarvis were too deeply rooted in their factions to change allegiances and so got affected in other ways. Jarvis got locked away in the Ultimate and ADA got cut off from the N'zeer substrate.

ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting time this was and while Fev Games was still in it's infancy! DeCode Ingress and the greater #Ingress community were crucial in the collecting and cleaning up these audios (with a big honorable mention to the Minnesota Resistance). Fev Games helped in putting these efforts into a video format with captions (since it's hard to hear in some parts) and dispersing it to the community in an easy to follow format.
ReplyDeleteThese audios and the emergence of glyphs into the Ingress Report were some of my favorite times as an investigator.
This speech tells us very directly that interaction with portals and XM allows shapers to draw us into their dimensions. More interaction with portals and XM is exactly what we are asked to do during Via Lux Adventures. I do not think that could be a coincidence. It sounds like we are called upon to join the ones that are already present in the XM (at all times), just like the New Wave.
