Aegis, coming from the greek mythology represents a shield worn by Zeus und Athena. Nowadays a word used when standing under someones protection (Obsidian Shield?)
Nova is the explosion of a star.

The aegis is a shield carried primarily by Zeus in Greek mythology, which he sometimes lent to Athena. According to other sources, it was not a shield but rather an animal skin worn over the garments of the gods as extra protection. It bore the head of a Gorgon and made a terrible roaring sound during the battle. The aegis was forged by the Cyclopes in Hephaestus’ forge, and had golden serpent-like scales and a Gorgon’s head rolling its eyes. In some texts, it was mentioned that when Zeus would shake the aegis, clouds would cover Mount Ida and men would hide in fear.

The modern concept of doing something "under someone's aegis" means doing something under the protection of a powerful, knowledgeable, or benevolent source. The word aegis is identified with protection by a strong force with its roots in Greek mythology and adopted by the Romans; there are parallels in Norse mythology and in Egyptian mythology as well, where the Greek word aegis is applied by extension.
This shield is sometimes called a mirror and other times called a shield of bronze that was polished so much it reflected quite easily.
Perseus used this shield to look at Medusa's reflection so he wouldn't be turned to stone
Along with being a very powerful shield, it radiates fear. It is finely polished, making it possible to look at it and see your reflection. It can also turn people to stone, at least in its early use. It is said when a god shakes it, thunder rolls, Mt. Ida becomes wrapped in clouds, and mortals cower in fear.
With the last announcement about malfunction yesterday, I think we gonna get new item, that "aegis", that will protect us from the effect of other shield.
