When did Ken Owen develop his Hide in Plain Sight strategy and who was he able to silence before?
I'm beginning to wonder if there was a whole investigation similar in scope to H. Richard Loeb's Niantic Project that was shut down by the NIA before most of us learned about XM.
One of our first pieces of research material is a series of videos posted o YouTube by ben jackland. The one that appears to have brought him to the attention of the NIA is one in which he warns of a glitchy phone he bought online from an anonymous seller in Skokie, IL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=BUA3SuH2kR4
That Glitchy video was uploaded on Oct 3, 2012, after PAC's discussion board went online. His teardown videos, which refer to the same phone and appear to date to have been recorded later, were posted in July:

One of those videos was uploaded on July 29 and refers to a break-in at his apartment. Remember that we're still a couple months before PAC's investigation board went live when you read this report from Ken Owen to Yuen Ni regarding the leaked phone:

Did Jackland have an entire investigation site that pre-dated Niantic Project and got scrubbed successfully by Owen before PAC's more solidly built board forced him to adapt a hide-in-plain-sight strategy (accepting that he could not knock down a site that turns out to have been defended by ADA)? Could that have been where Klue S. got her initial training, perhaps carrying Jackland's prior research over to PAC and inspiring him to leave Niantic? If that's true, then reposting his Glitchy warning to support PAC's early investigation seems like a reasonable thing to do.
Was he a member of Verum Inveniri or some other established organization, or was Jackland exactly what he appeared to be - a techy who thought he got robbed and uncovered a mystery by accident? If that's the case, what well-resourced site was Owen trying to knock down a month before the investigation board opened up shop?

Since Devra ditched hers on Epiphany Night the possibility of it being the same phone would have required time travel. As I recall the Ingress Origins graphic novel confirmed it was a separate phone.

Why did A Detection Algorithm decide to help H. Richard Loeb to set up the board and not this group?
A Klue S. and ben jackland connection does sound rather interesting.
