Not sure if this is cryptic enough for crtptic section but it seems we have a mystery on our hands.

Could it be that Stein Lightman has managed to push this onto the network from wherever he may be, his last communication was 43weeks ago.
Could +Hank Johnson and +Jahan released this, their motives as yet unknown.

Has anyone with the new scanner release tried known glyph sequences as commands? I'm especially interested to see if the PenfieldWild sequence has a visible result.
ReplyDeleteNot tried anything other then the key request command. I think you can only enter one command and you seem to be on a time-limit
ReplyDeleteLet's narrow down our suspects. Aside from Roland Jarvis, A Detection Algorithm, Stein Lightman and Oliver Lynton-Wolfe, would anyone have access to interfere with or enhance the scanner interface?
ReplyDeleteCesar, Jr. Santos The NIA, all three arms maker corporations (and possibly HAZDATA) would have authorized access to the scanner codebase and have used it to insert new features or XM construct templates in the past. Of course, the CEOs of those three main corporations have all denied responsibility here.
ReplyDeleteOmnivore could probably hack the code, but it's a tool used by the NIA rather than a separate actor as far as we know.
ADA can hack anything and is back in the world, so definitely a possibility there.
It's feasible that any entity with sufficient know-how could insert changes from either the XM fabric (where Jarvis manifested before #13magnus) or the N'Zeer Computing Substrate (assuming these are two different things). We used to see fairly frequent insertion of glyph messages into electronically recorded or stored video (especially Susanna Moyer 's Ingress Report broadcasts). That would leave all the Niantic sensitives except Hank Johnson on the list, but I think you're probably right to identify Stein and Oliver as the most likely candidates.
Allen Tanner That makes me suspect ADA. We learned during the Portal Virus that she had shifted some of her processing to human minds via the portal network, and we know that fields are a vehicle for influencing/contacting minds. This could be her attempting to grow her processing base again to try and approach as much as possible the vastness of the N'zeer substrate.
ReplyDeleteAllen Tanner Jarvis will say something mystical and pointless. :)
ReplyDeleteStupid question. Could this portend more to come?
ReplyDeleteI mean, the extra key command is not so useful for Ingress fielders unless it increases the key drop rate.
But being able to communicate directly with portals... I'd say it's a pretty significant development, and the key command prompt a small step in that direction.
Edgar Allan Wright and Yik Sheng Lee any thoughts on the issue?
