Will the world of tomorrow be a single self-sustaining machine? What will our place in it be like? Will we be masters of the new paradise? Peers of the Realm? Pets in the machine's world? Or rats in the bowels of a metal hell?

Almost are you question what will happen if ADA will rule the world?
ReplyDeleteNuno Costa you look at the question from a decidedly human perspective. "Ruling the world". If the machines build their own paradise, what need would there be to "rule" in this great "Pax Machina"? Would they see our petty lust for power as quaint?

"Make sure they don't light them off in the house. You know what an awful mess they make."
Or would they worship is as gods? The creators of true machine life? Would they build fabulous temples to us and try to be like us? Would the argue over what we have written when we are long gone? Will they in turn create the technology that replaces them?
There are more possibilities than these. My point is that we just don't know, and have no way of knowing.
Sarah Rosen you are correct at you're thinking... But we all know that AI is always in constant learning... Perhaps they try to.understand the.mysteries that envolve all universe?
