Intriguing information coming out of the stream with dr Edgar Allan Wright yesterday. I have some unresolved thoughts that I'd like to pose to the greater Essex Community.

Dr. Wright said that resistance controlled shards would return as simulacra, and enlightened controlled shards would return as humans.

1. Based on what we know, how are simulacra different from humans? What does a human have that a simulacrum doesn't have, and vice versa?

2. Dr. Wright said that he would prefer to stay human. While that may seem like a natural inclination, how do we know that we're not simulacra already? And what does he have to lose? For that matter, what do we have to gain by remaining human?

  1. Good questions. Hank Johnson can you share your insights? When Hank was a simulacrum he was subject to Recursion, but now it appears that not all simulacrum are subject to such a flaw. (And his flaw was a product of him being a 13Magnus simulacrum vs an antimagnus simulacrum.) So, barring the flaw it seems a simulacrum would be similar to an immortal, or at least a human that could come back to life from a previous state. That seems like a desirable state to be in to me...

  2. I couldn't ask myself about the posible outcome for Ada, she is more an entity than a being. In that case, how can she become either simulacra or human form?

  3. There must be a test that can be devised as we have heard that simulacra cannot enter certain areas, right?  If the nature of that restriction could be discovered, perhaps a more portable test could b constructed whereby the subjects reaction to a type of field/wave/construct would reveal whether they are human or simulacrum?
