Civilizations and Extradimensional Influences

Civilizations and Extradimensional Influences

Fellow investigators, I am attempting to identify and put together a list of civilizations that have been clearly influenced by Antimagnus/the N'zeer and/or 13Magnus/The Shapers and I need your help.

From The Thief pages that were leaked through the portal network, it is evident that the Aztec civilization was significantly influenced by the N'zeer and Antimagnus. (See here the leaked pages here: https://goo.gl/Oq3Xxn).

It also has been theorized that Alexander The Great of the Macedonian Empire, was an agent of 13Magnus. The theory states that Alexander sought to destroy the Persian Empire as it was heavily influenced by Antimagnus.

What other civilizations do we know, or can theorize to have been, influenced by Antimagnus or 13Magnus? By the N'zeer or the Shapers?

Attached is a Histomap of civilizations in the old world that I found. Maybe looking over it can help you get started on your search. The rest of the Histomap can be found here: http://www.thenewatlantis.com/imgLib/20110127_TNA29JacobsHistomaplg.jpg

  1. One of the civilizations I have been personally investigating is the Norte Chico civilization. A society notable for being the oldest known civilization in the Americas, for its lack of pottery use, and evidently a lack of visual artwork. This civilization was flourishing when the Egyptians began to build the pyramids; which puts the climax of the Norte Chico civilization around the same point when the N'zeer were supposedly banished from our dimension.

Based on the lack of pottery and artistic works, I suspect that the N'zeer may have influenced this civilization prior to being banished by the Shapers.

  2. Allen Tanner That's an excellent question. At this point, I am not sure if there is a definitive set of criteria we can use to identify civilizations influenced by extradimensional beings like the Shapers or the N'zeer.

However, what we can do is use potential indicators like if the civilization is headed by a potential agent of 13Magnus, it is then possible that the civilization itself was influenced by 13Magnus philosophy & interests. Another indicator could be references from official Niantic sources: like the presence of the 13Magnus Nest in Afghanistan could imply regional 13Magnus support from nearby tribes.

The point of this post is to encourage an intellectual discussion on the matter. Once we have brainstormed enough ideas, we can then begin to refine them with a set of definitive criteria using the ideas generated as a basis for the criteria.

  3. Allen Tanner I think that there is a potential connection between the spread of what is considered "Western culture" and the collapse of civilizations that failed to assimilate. However, I am not sure if it is a simple duality where it's "Western culture" vs "Eastern culture". Though, it is possible that it has developed into that situation over time.

There are several areas where civilization developed independently of other civilizations: Like in Egypt, in the Norte Chico, around the Indus River, etc. There are six(?) so-called "Cradles of Civilization". I believe that we could learn a lot by examining the civilizations that would later emege or be influenced by these civilizations, and analyze the conflict that eventually developed between them. We could detect a pattern hidden in their history. A pattern indicative of 13Magnus & Antimagnus conflict.

  4. The various Mound Builder cultures of the US midwest and southeast have been shown to have had XM knowledge, per the Cahokia and the first Cross Plains anomaly.
I'd also suggest that in the Southwest the early Pueblo dwellers show the cultural pinacle and sudden collapse that suggests XM influences.
Now, as to which power had more influence on these cultures is much harder to identify.

  5. Allen Tanner Another excellent question! What causes civilizations to fail? I am not really sure how to answer such a complex question. However, it is possible that it was due to 13Magnus & Antimagnus interference. Exotic matter & Chaotic matter can be used as weapons just as they are used as tools. It's possible that whole civilizations were wiped out as a result of this conflict. It is possible it could have been due to the use of glyphs as well, such as the infamous Self-Destruct Glyph Sequence which was almost released during the #Cassandra anomalies. Or it may be possible that the civilizations destroyed themselves--an XM or CM experiment gone wrong. There are many possibilities, but most seem to stem from the use of XM or CM.

  6. Allen Tanner I've always interpreted that as when XM is flourishing in an area, that civilization within it also thrives and that when XM is waning or weakening in an area, that civilization begins to crumble and fade. XM being reported as being able to stimulate creativity and insight could also tie into the interpretation.

There's also Hank Johnson's Nomad Hypothesis to think about:

My theory, known as the Nomad Hypothesis, is that Exotic Matter drifts outwards from portals over thousands of years. That ancient XM leaves a shadow that I know how to detect. In the path of these XM shadows, you can often find an ancient civilization, shrine or significant artwork.

These trace patterns helps to explain why an ancient civilization can flourish in one place, but then decay and die. Portals disappear taking their inspiring power with them. Ancient civilizations are built on the portals of yesterday.

  7. Allen Tanner Interesting. So a larger imbalance of the two could lead to civilization destruction?

  8. Mustafa Said I think that the Nomad hypothesis could hold for many civilizations. However, there are some civilizations that existed prior to the N'zeer being banished by the Shapers. The portals were likely to have existed, however, its possible that the portals back then influenced humanity--influenced civilizations--in a different way. It's possible that portals expressed both Shaper & N'zeer influences simultaneously.

  9. Allen Tanner I live in Overland Park KS, which is seriously RES-heavy territory. Even though I'm RES in scanner, I can certainly notice how hard it is for ENL players to get ahead in this area.

  10. Allen Tanner It's interesting that you mention the concept of attaining a balance--Aristotle's concept of the Golden Mean

Also interesting, I believe that current speculation holds Aristotle to be an agent of Antimagnus interests.

  11. Allen Tanner It's interesting what you question there, as now we know that maths and art are very linked together. Jahan said that the Fibonacci symbol is one of the n'zeer symbol of perfection, but we also know that the Fibonacci symbol is everywhere in art and nature, that seen to be what the shapers venerate.
I have this theory, that as abusive precursors, shapers and n'zeer, two milenia ago decide that the other way to do s tuff was the wrong one and started a massive war, to prove us, the humans that the other side was wrong.
Another interesting thing is that some civilisation before falling either start bannin most form of arts or become extremely frivolous and decadent, as both as a form if imbalance, I think you are onto something there.

  12. Soooo. How are those key capsules treating ya?

I would like to point out that you are stuck with all Chaotic Matter items once you have got hold of them.

  13. Allen Tanner Yik Sheng Lee Mustafa Said Thomas Arteaga Very intetesting thoughts on the interactions between the different civilizations, xm/dark xm and N'Zeer/Shapers (13Magnus/Antimagnus).
Let me throw another 2 ct in:

What does this mean for the Roman Empire? If they were on the path of destruction through meddling with dark xm (decadence, cults etc.) were the early christians just collateral damage or have they become persecuted for aforesaid reasons?
    Was Hannibal an agent?
    Have the huns/Attila been?
    The scythes?
What artifacts could have been destroyed or remained? (fascinating thoughts on the gordian knot!)

And before that - what artifacts could have been retrieved by the Romans from the greek culture (as you mentioned Aristotle...)? What did they take or not take from the celtic people? And why they could'nt defeat them like many other civilizations? Coincidence or for a certain reason?

As we know, the Romans also had close relationships with egypt over a certain time - what brings us back to the ancient civilizations from the beginning of this post..

Please share what you can make of this...

  14. IF we set the clock back further can we make an assumption that Sumerian was a balance point between the Chaotic and Structured ways? Then the fall to and imbalanced time starting with the Babylonian era. Followed several attempts at an artificial (governing) regime.

  15. Allen Tanner Could it have been the "adoption" of Markuk that lead to the fall? Not that it was a Monotheist society. Even in a mono-lateral structure the outlying city/states would have "lost" their shepherding deity. In the end skewing the structure to an imbalanced state.

Similar parallels can be drawn to Christianity. The early days there were many regionally tailored version to cope with the specific needs and working with the same base "principals". Vs an all encompassing dogma with required the practitioners to be shaped to the faith.

Might the Church of Rome been a tool of the Shapers/N'Zeer?
