As was discussed in the Essex hangout earlier, Typhoon Jim, Mustafa Said myself, and others were discussing the colors used in the ingame scanner badges, and noticed that most of them were blue, green, or a mix of the two. But then there was the Edgar Allan Wright scanner badge. And we concluded that the badge is likely red because it lacks green & blue (think the RGB color scheme).

EDIT Hazel Vizion pointed out in the comments that the badge color scheme could be akin to the CYMK color scheme instead of the RGB color scheme. What do you think?

  1. Red faction ends up not being psycho anarchists but collected intellectuals xD

  2. Well let's review the colors of portals

    White - Neutral
    Blue - Resistance controlled
    Green- Enlightened controlled
    Red - Neutralized
Yellow - Mod Destroyed / Becan / Fracker

Now someone with all the badges can you do something similar to all the Medals? I know NL1331 is blue, but the others i am unsure about without leaving mobile.

  3. Would adding the blue and green filters make the pic white?

  4. Brent Werlein NL1331 is teal (blue and green). Susanna is a mix of blue and green as well, albeit it is done differently. Stella is blue. Hank and Klue are green. OLW...is black but he is also OLW so no surprise there. He has changed sides several times.

  5. The colors are not so clearly delineated. The only distinct ones are nl1331 (ff green, ff blue) and EAW (very low in both.) Susanna is less green than Hank but more green than Stella (?)

Nl1331 is the most blue of them all and also the most green.

  6. I'd leave Stella out--she was a cross-over from Endgame.

  7. Paul Fritschle She is a good comparative baseline against the greener medals.

  8. Well i ask for all of them because each one had an influence by a faction right? The Enl influenced Klue first iirc. Why not compare the color dominant to faction influence.

  9. So klue should also be red..? Consider her various changes on alignments

  10. Elle est belle cette médaille rouge j'aime bien aussi :)

  11. Hazel Vizion Very interesting. A CYMK model explains why Oliver Lynton Wolfe's badge is black.

  12. So, RGB uses shades of color (light) and mixes them to create the picture. But CYMK uses light absorbing INK. Now, we are using displays on our scanners, so no ink involved, we are definitely using RGB schemes to visualize the badges.
On the other hand, CYMK works because it absorbs the light and allows only a part of the wavelength to be reflected back to our eyes. To achieve red, we need to absorb the green and blue wavelengths to let only the red one continue to our eyes. Do you see? We absorb green and blue to create red.
I don't think this is a coincidence and I'm sure it means there has been/will be cross-faction colaborations. I mean, agents around the globe already work with the other faction in all sort of operations, so it shouldn't be that weird to think that some stuff can only be achieved by working together...

  13. I definitely agree with Hazel Vizion. Is not about a lack of green and blue but about containing both.
