To elaborate on this further, for Bill Robitske's and Sarah Rosen's sake, the Cylons represent the ultimate in the "we are nothing but machines" theory. AI, placed into robotic bodies with human characteristics, right down to skin, nails, hair, etc. They became a race unto themselves. They went from our attempts to replicate the human "code" to developing their own to make themselves more "human". If given the opportunity, do you not think A Detection Algorithm would do the same? Create her own "biological" body to appear much more human? Or, in her case, hacking a human body with all the proper code written? It is a journey down a dangerous path.

  1. "Nothing but machines" is the normative inverse of the statement "AI are just as good as humans because we are machines." Both statements lack grounding; after all, what was ADA after in becoming human? There had to be something, right? We also know that the N'zeer stripped away a human part of ADA. What was it? Think about these things.

  2. Wasn't this kind of a goal of ADA/Klue already in making a deal with Hank for his "body" that he refused before one of his recursions?

  3. Yes, the transitional human/infomorph template was of interest to ADA.

  4. Cylons seem the next step in evolution and beneficial to humanity, not a threat.

  5. IMO, the question is Has ADA had enough time and capabilities to learn the way to emulate that "human touch" while she was merged with Klue? If she did, she really doesn't need a human brain no more. A body would still bring some benefits.
