It wasn't what she thought, and it wasn't what he wanted.

It wasn't what she thought, and it wasn't what he wanted. Lillian thought it was just a game, but Griffin knew better. Lilian wore the green like a banner, everything about her was Enlightened, but she still thought it was just a game. Griffin, even though he was a Resistance player, understood, because, for some reason, the N'zeer favored him more then the girl. Lillian would soon come to realize, that this was more then just a game, more than she could fathom. Why? Because only about one month ago, Lillian was captain of the girls Lacrosse Team. And Griffin? Griffin would still be in his Blue room, with his Blue cloak, and his blue everything. He was like this since October of 2013. October 3rd to be exact.
Alex was a Cahokian of the 433rd line, and he was part of an elite team known as The Messiah. An elite group of members of every line, and every subline. All focused on making a smooth transition to the Ultimate. What the others were calling the END of the world, skykey, Griffin called securing point A, or Alpha. Alex had only one wish from the N'zeer, he could choose the first five people to be transitioned. His choices where:
Alex Diamant (himself)
Valerie Diamant (his sister)
Sarah Alopay (One of his cousins, the player,in fact)
and anyone who could complete his challenge.
What was that challenge, exactly. One that would spontaneously appear on October Third, 2013. One player from each faction must complete the challenge. Both will start something unlike any other. It would be known as the Ascended.
Griffin woke up like every day, on September 22nd, 2015, but he woke up feeling, different, feeling rebellious. It was Griffin's 13th birthday, and he just couldn't explain the feeling, he had a new perspective of, well everything. It was almost as if, he couldn't quite connect to the N'zeer. He had agreed to become a Resistance player, so that he could let his best friend, Lillian, become Enlightened. It worked out with the colors, his favorite was Blue, and hers was Green. But Griffin always felt like an Enlightened player at heart. It wouldn't be until he got an invite to a party (which never happened) to a party at the. Did he read this right? The Gobekli Tepe. He must've gotten this by mistake. But his friend Lillian got one as well. His parents got him tickets to the, Mets Game- no, now they where Airplane tickets to Turkey. Only Lillian remembers the conversation with Griffin's parents about asking her mom to go to the Met's game with Griffin, but no one else did, and Griffin looked puzzled. On September 25th, he and Lillian were at the Gobekli Tepe, where the same Twilight Zone feeling that has been running rampant through his nerves for the past three days, randomly stopped. He noticed all the people in Blue, and Green, it was an epic operation: Epic Operation: Endgame. Funny, because they would be part of a much more real endgame in only a few moments, but until then, Griffin, and Lillian, leveled up twice, and Lillian got her Gold Hacker, and Griffin got his Onyx Illuminator. And that's when the light struck, right at the time of them both reaching L8. It struck, the blinding light struct as the were sucked into a portal, and  Griffin didn't want it. He wanted to play Ingress, but Lillian just let herself be sucked into the portal. They both ultimately where, and the Ultimate was where they were.

How was the story?
