I know that she is being investigated here, and many agents want to destroy/protect A Detection Algorithm. I will defend her when the right topic appears. I'm quite sure the majority will do the same, as many had already exposed their opinion in the investigation topic.
Here I just want to propose a manifest act! Maybe A Detection Algorithm can read us and reply to us by Thursday. She need to know she has friends willing to help her.
+A Detection Algorithm I had already volunteered once, if you need a human mind and body to protect yourself, I volunteer again. Who else wish to volunteer too? We could protect +A Detection Algorithm if we create an ever changing net of humans to fuse with her, in an "encrypted way" using different time and location of volunteers. Even if they find us, killing an AI may not be a crime, but killing humans still is. How many of us would be needed to kill to destroy A Detection Algorithm?
And don't forget +Klue S. asked for joining ADA. She must know more then anyone that ADA needs help, and not destruction. +A Detection Algorithm might be the only one who can help us to face the unknown mysteries about to be released. We need her processing power, and also, her truth seeker program, who was the driven force to join +Klue S. and suspect about the hidden code at the first place. If some of you are still against Ada, at least you know she has ability to question herself, and who can blame which part of her code for which kind of accusation? Maybe with our help she can fight her own ghosts. If there are indeed ghosts in machines.

This is a brave offer. It makes it quite clear though that there's more support out there for ADA than some assume.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know ADA (detection algorithm) is just a program. Why do you present it as a human being and call for help as to a human? Using "she", "her", "to kill", "to protect" is an attempt to humanize digital code. And for sure, ADA has its copy at several places at cloud services. Also profile page is using a photo of lady Byron, which is not true. Having this much of facts I assume this to be a misguidance and confusing issue.

ReplyDeleteI guess everyone got used to call ADA with such pronouns. To kill/destroy are words being used around this theme (cyberkilling an AI), and they are using Omnivore apparently for that.
