The Goal of the Shapers?

These simple words and a look back into one of my favorite series I read as a kid plus some slight musing on the matter may have helped me make an odd theory.
Ok. So as a child, I read a ton of fantasy. One particular series I loved to read was called the Demonata series by Darren Shan. The 9th book in that series, Dark Calling, is where this theory began from.
Without spoiling too much of the novel (except for one particular secret that is extremely relevant), it follows a character who possesses the power to see mysterious lights in his eyes. Moving the lights together with his hands allows him to create doorways to other dimensions. Now, in the book, he is confronted by a ancient being, a member of a race called the Old Creatures.
"Earth was just one of the billions of worlds whose inhabitants developed intelligence with the help of the Old Creatures".
Now, at this point in the series, humanity is completely doomed to be exterminated as a result of a union between the titular Demonata-a race of demonic beings-and Death, which has obtained a conscience and wants to end all things.
Just roll with it, I promise this'll all make sense soon.
There is no hope, no hero to save the world, nothing. The so-called heroes are hanging by a thread. The Demonata is poised to completely end the human race.
The boy of Dark Calling is taken by the Old Creature and travels through various universes until they reach their destination, a planet comprised of various races and species designed to be a planetary version of Noah's Ark.
Ok. Now things will start making sense.
They've covered the Ark planet in Lodestones, a type of rock that emits a exceedingly high amount of mystic energy that can be tapped into. Covering the planet in them allows for a exceedingly large supply of magic for the inhabitants to acquire and utilize.
Now, where does the boy fit in? Simple-The Old Creatures tell him to abandon the earth and live as one of them, utilizing his power to...take the entire planet and move it to another dimension. Oh yeah, in order to keep him alive, they plan to immortalize him into the planet.
So. Where does all of this fit into Ingress?
The Shapers want humanity to reach the Ultimate. Instead of bringing it to us, what if their plan is to bring us to the Ultimate?
Ok, how? If the Dark Calling narrative is to believed, we'd need a way to take the planet and move it to another dimension, right?
We might already have that.
"The answer is here, all around you, at this portal. XM is the answer. It isn't really here, after all, It's a distortion, a shadow, of something that exists in one of the dimensions beyond the four that Einstein and classical physics contemplated. So instead of bringing the Ultimate to us, what if the Shapers, through the Portals and the Ingress Scanner, are attempting to cover the planet in enough XM to turn it into a planetary portal and then they'd hyperthread it through the Portals on the planet into the Ultimate?
Finally, this is the most important point: What I think The Ultimate is. If Jarvis' claims that we are already with him, it means we're already in the Ultimate. So when we on Earth reach the Ultimate, I believe we will merge with the "us" that's already there. A union of identities, a fusion of two variants of us to form a version of us that has seen both worlds. It's you with knowledge that only half of you possess and when we reach the Ultimate, we'll see the world for what it is there while remembering what it was for us here. The Ultimate is the union of the universe and all in it with the copied versions that exists in the Ultimate right now.

Hazel Vizion we all are mind units, perhaps given how control fields parse them we may each even be more than one mind unit - would this not fuel more than just XM? We already know XM is not influenced for better or worse under a field, and we already know fields can duplex mu control in layers.
