I've been thinking about the GORuck stuff, and don't understand what the companies are trying to do with these recruits. Hulong we haven't heard about at all. Could it be that the GORuck people are double agents, working for Hulong but infiltrated on IQTech? And if it were Hulong, would they be testing Dark XM on these recruits? Kinda scares me...

  1. Nope, just making money selling badges. I have not received any thing special as of yet.

  2. In my experience, Dark XM has been located in areas of peculiar "natural energies" concentration - similar to how "normal" XM tends to be located in areas of "creative energies" concentration.  Now, which direction the path of causation points is debatable, but I assume it is not as important here as the correlation.  I suspect that they are seeking candidates capable of journeying to locations "off the beaten path" that may be inaccessible to your average agent in order to scout for the companies.  When a location of high enough surface concentration is found, then the sponsor company can swoop in, fight for resource rights, and go to town digging.

  3. To the mythology route - perhaps to see the effect of massive XM (anomaly event levels) on people engaged in physical activity (aka Xm enhances creativity can it be used to enhance physical aspects as well).  A better connecting of mind and body (is that not what the physical piece of GoRuck with the challenges represent)?

  4. Clearly it is a test of physical prowess and motivation under XM influence. The corporations already know that anomalies draw agents and become a more powerful occurrence from this, but very little has been researched as to the effects on these agents. GoRuck challenges are a cover for this monitoring, and the GoRuck cadre present should be considered a high level asset of one player or another.

  5. As a member of GR001 reporting. There's nothing to fear. All is well. There are no experiments. Breathe deeply, lose yourself.

  6. Now that I have finished the GORUCK challenge, it is clear what the immediate goal is for us agents involved. To teach us nerds leadership skills and how to use social skills to strengthen communication as players and people. I found it a great opportunity to bond with my team, we even had a few opportunities to learn what causes common team mistakes.
