Alignment
Alignment
Apologies to Agent derp for not asking permission, but I found the medals interesting. The borders appear to carry key data. Is it possible that medals reflect current alignment, and may update in response to events?
[edited]
Oliver Lynton-Wolfe - black border (neutral?)
NL-1331 - cyan border (green + blue = cross-faction)
Vyctory - blue border (RES?)
Susanna Moyer - green border (ENL?!)
Hank Johnson - green border (ENL)
Are you referring to the colors of the medal images? Interesting indeed if you are...
ReplyDeleteI was. My initial post was incomplete, so I've added the information.
ReplyDeleteOLW might infer not thinking about this until they decided to start making more.
ReplyDeleteIf the Persepolis logo is an indication, it's cyan versus red. Red as N'zeer?
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly, Jim. The factions team up to fight the NZeer? Bring it on!
ReplyDeleteOnly Hank, Klue, and Devra were known to have shifted alignment, but those events were prior to the introduction of medals. Oliver shifted sides, but it's unclear if there was any alignment change at all.
ReplyDeleteJim Lai A bit of Niantic history might help explain Susanna Moyer's green border. Despite the involvement of H. Richard Loeb and Klue S., the enlightened captured the powerful Anomaly known as Operation Bowstring, in which her supposed alignment was sought after.
ReplyDeleteTo think I'd taken Moyer's claim of being unaffected by portals without questioning more deeply...
ReplyDeleteStella V 's account is green..... ;-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe the badge border colors are assigned by someone, who is possibly in error.
ReplyDeleteMustafa Said So, if Susanna Moyer's badge is green, what would ben jackland's be?
ReplyDeleteMoyer has a hint of blue too. or blue trapped in green...
ReplyDeleteAgreed, she isn't quite as green as Hank Johnson. I wonder if that might change after #IngressFS if the Resistance takes the City of the Sun.
ReplyDeleteNow I wonder if Susanna was merely claiming immunity to dark XM. She was probably raised as RES due to her family's connections to research.
ReplyDeleteDoes aligning a simulacrum also align the mortal? Hank's positive attitude in the face of danger hasn't changed, though, and his being ENL as a simulacrum didn't prevent him from calling out the JARVIS entity (or the entity's plan, given potential redacted content) as evil. Restoration of mortality combined with former memories of Alexander as ENL probably affirmed his alignment.
烏丸みきてぃ You are absolutely fine with the translation. Speak in whatever language you can-it's no problem for me. :D
ReplyDeleteAs for Moyer's badge, that's a interesting insight....
