Okay, so where are we?

Okay, so where are we? We seem to have two threads running. There’s the whole Kipling, MWWBK thread. I get it. Hank Johnson, Kipling’s guy ‘Peachy’ who’s really some American Quaker and Alexander the Great all found the same anomaly zone in Afghanistan somewhere. Alexander got married somewhere around there, Hank got killed and then recursed and this guy in Kipling’s book got killed, but I’m thinking he didn’t really get killed, but kept going, because he turns up in San Francisco and dies around the same time the Niantic Hotel sinks into the ground in San Francisco. And there’s something interesting. On the last voyage of the Niantic they stopped in Peru to pick up four mysterious passengers under order from the American Consulate. Who were they? What was the Niantic carrying? I’m discovering that there are no accidents in this world.  And more importantly, if Hank is following ‘Peachy’s Map’, why do I think Kipling wrote about that journey too? Maybe he never published it?  Somebody stop him? I’m looking into the Diodati Epiphany thread, I’ll add it up for you. Feel free to correct me, it’s a very serpentine story...

  2. Peru, 1850s, San Francisco. Shipping Vessels. Oh my God.... You guys are evil Bastards and I love you for it. You all need to stop looking into the Peruvian Gold cargo. And look at Rice instead. A rice cargo transaction involving a San Franciscan, Famine struck China, and Peru. 1850s. The rice deal left the San Franciscan destitute and destroyed all his fortunes... And begun his journey into a completely different person, and America's first Empror. I have not made a single thing up.

  3. The Blackhorse23 Files Emperor Norton? How do you get from the gold cargo to rice?

  4. Paul Fritschle It is definitely a stretch here, but we are after all talking about His Magesty Norton here, but hear me out. First with Nortons pre Dynastic career, from Wikipedia:
" Norton emigrated from South Africa to San Francisco in 1849 after receiving a bequest of $40,000 from his father's estate. He enjoyed a good deal of success in the real estate market, and by the early 1850s had accumulated a fortune of $250,000. Norton thought he saw a business opportunity when China, facing a severe famine, placed a ban on the export of rice, causing the price of rice in San Francisco to skyrocket from four to thirty-six cents per pound . When he heard the Glyde (Not Niantic vessel but a sister voyager), which was returning from Peru, was carrying 200,000 pounds (91,000 kg) of rice, he bought the entire shipment for $25,000 (or twelve and a half cents per pound), hoping to corner the market.

Shortly after he signed the contract, several other shiploads of rice arrived from Peru (The Niantic Vessel could very well be part of this Ingressive flux of rice), causing the price of rice to plummet to three cents a pound.(Post current Darsana Timeline) Norton tried to void the contract, stating the dealer had misled him as to the quality of rice to expect. From 1853 to 1857, Norton and the rice dealers were involved in a protracted litigation. Although Norton prevailed in the lower courts, the case reached the Supreme Court of California, which ruled against Norton. Later, the Lucas Turner and Company Bank foreclosed on his real estate holdings in North Beach to pay Norton's debt. He declared bankruptcy in 1858 and left the city for a time.
(Post cont'd sorry I swear I'm not trying to spam just help tie in a very crazy story line by throwing more crazy at it. )

  5. Ok, now Kepler: An English Colonialist type of character, a ln avid poet and Occult/Craft type of character, who wrote "Man who would be King" partially based on his personal experience dealing with a couple of fellows working on a Confidence Scheme to rule over lands and places they have no real claim to and reaping riches, one who is suspected to have died at the time of Niantic's sinking and conversion into a hotel. His Indo Eastern trajectories and story lines of Alexander and Dionysian type of madness have connections in the burning of the Achmenian empire through a rite of Kommos (Bachanillian procession involving drunken revelry and hysterics normally ending in loss of life property and historical artifice)
Along side him you have the early 19th century Romanticist movement which is more a revivalist movement similar to Renaissance with a healthy dose of Germanic and Anglo European optimism of expansion. Byron and the Shelleys being both their heralding champions of the romantics and their eventual decline due to the tragedies in their later years. The Diodati Epiphany and the yielded literature heavily borrows tropes left from the time of Alexander, and between all these characters there is a running key set of themes, primarily that of Hubris but more specifically the Alchemical pursuit of transmutation that is commonly misunderstood as a literal pursuit of "Fools Gold."

Now trying to key in to the Afghan Chinese Peruvian connection and the Afghan anomoly site is a little trickier especially connecting it to Norton directly, but there is still a distinct timeline that is emerging that swings back from the ancient times (3000 BCE to 500 gap) and the 19th century which so far is about 50 years. I'm just trying to figure out where the Ingressive history is going to echo next but the SF bay area as a Nexus point of history is something I had completely failed to pay closer attention to.

  6. The Blackhorse23 Files Please don't post your fanfic in comments to non fanfic posts. It's very confusing to other investigators.

  7. I am sorry, I will be more brief, but I wasn't posting these comments as fanfic, just where I personally feel there are connections based on what I've read up on. What would you suggest as a better means to comment and further discussion without going overboard?

  8. When you theorize, give us the line of reasoning you're using. Give us some supporting evidence, or at least why you think it relates and why it makes sense to you to pursue it.

  9. Got it. I need to drive but when I can type again I'll set up a more cogent response and a less haphazard thesis. Thanks for calling out a critical correction when needed. Standby : )
