Just some random questions I was musing about. I hope I don't sound too crazy...
What are the High-Risk Shaper Transmissions Resistance is trying to block in Europe? What would happen if they got through? What happens if they don't?
Are they glyphs like the ones Klue downloaded into herself with Ada's assistance only with a Jarvis twist? Are they "Dragons?" Are they going to increase our cap levels?
If we successfully block them are we delaying something that's inevitable? Like the iOS release can't come until the Enlightened are winning that event?
What if Devra is actually a shaper acolyte and is trying to download her Virus this way? She has been exposed to plenty of XM herself. Is that why she wouldn't answer in Gettysburg about whether or not her virus was already in play? Because it's THIS?
All of these paths diverge, they can"t all be correct, maybe none are. I just want to know if any of them seem to carry any merit or weight or consideration at all from our illustrious explorers here.

Devra Bogdanovich had said in a past post that she was testing shaper glyphs. Coincidentally the glyphs came out through the scanner. I asked her if there was a connection, but recieved no reply
ReplyDeleteRoland Jarvis says that they are new information from the shapers, probably too try and help with fouls things that are approching, the only people who says that are high risk transmission are the NIA.
ReplyDeleteDon't really like him, but I think that blocking them situated us further from the information that we need see beyond the trees.
Everyone's telling us to do things and no one's telling us what they are.

ReplyDeleteI think Devra is the first in a long time that is pointing to a true resistance. She wants humankind to grow without interference either way from XM. What will be the relationship between Klue, ADA and Devra is a significant question.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing: if this transmission is from the Shapers, why the Enlightened and namely Roland Jarvis don't know at least the date of the transmission?

Think of it like this: perhaps you only know from our time perspective when it has happened in retrospect.
ReplyDeleteDr. Ezekiel Calvin was given a go ahead to do XM research with the money he required if he agreed to develop a block to the virus (According to leaked documents). THEN he assembled his team and test subjects.
ReplyDeleteDuring the initial tests, presumably, there were reports of people with dark thoughts seeing a psychiatrist. Also leaked were the reports of the entire team poring out their every thought to "tune" ADA. Then all except Hank Johnson were exposed to a massive XM burst on Epiphany night. Instead he was the first to be exposed to glyphs.
POSSIBILITY: The original project was actually an experiment in mass people control. Then the "game" was released to the public, to see how they could get the population to do what they wanted, when they wanted.
Considering various governments past experiments; I'm still not convinced this isn't a massive experiment in mind control, and the Shapers may be a red herring to keep us running through the maze. Some were getting bored with the scenario, and this is the twist to keep us chasing the rabbit in the waistcoat down the rabbit hole. (He has a watch too....)
Heidi Beck This is entirely possible, however note that the original understanding of Shapers came from Yuri Alaric Nagassa who reported knowledge of them among primitive tribes in South America.

ReplyDeleteThe problem with history, is that it is viewed through the perspective of the recorders. One of the oldest methods to rid one's culture of another is to make sure there is no record of it, and to describe any remnants as evil or base. Hence all the destroyed artifacts that archeologists believe they put together correctly. These reconstructions are still often times viewed through the lens of the surviving cultures. Hence some may be viewed as more viscous. With some it is justified. With others, how much viciousness is due to the fact that they were not only being wiped from the map, but from recorded history as well?
ReplyDeleteAs far as "primitive" versus "civilized" it is well recognized by some that people that those who live close to the land view things differently than those who gather in the cities. Terms like barbarian, heathen, and even pagan were used to describe those who interacted with not humans. Those that gathered in cities did not live so "close to the land". Yet that ability to observe "spirit" was still there. Some focused their creativity into making life easier. Others, with the free time they now had, focused their creativity into sculptures and other art work. (Art from artificial - made by human). Their fellows admired and valued these works. If one subscribes to the group subconscious, this could give rise to the more valued works taking on a life of their own. Incidentally it is these works that Ingress values.
Essentially, who or what speaks to "primitives" is not the same as who or what speaks to city dwellers.
