People, let's all calm down. After Jarvis' (so-called) resurrection after 13Magnus nothing major has happened. I would guess that Ada's victory would not have a major change on the schism between the RES and the ENL too.
Both faction are not a single minded entity. They are comprised of individuals with a wide spectrum of opinions and outlooks on what exactly their faction aims are and what actions and methods to gain them.
I would think that the Essex "faction" - as truth seekers - should try find the middle ground. We should try to influence both Jarvis and ADA to be less confrontational in their message and actions. We should try and get them to see the realistic worries of all humans - whatever faction their in - and address them. They should give us explanations to their actions. They should put behind them the cloak and dagger games and find another way to resolve the different approaches. Their knowledge on XM should be shared with us and be out in the open. Knowledge is power. The more they will share their knowledge the better it will benefit us all.

But where in Human political history has middle ground ever been accomplished. There are always those out there that are hungry to be in power and control it. I think that is who Jarvis and ADA are. Power hungry entities. Hank Johnson and Klue S. are just disposable pawns to these two.
ReplyDeleteEven if not achieved striving to it may produce a more welcome outcome. If one does not try then the playfield is left to extremists actions which is never a good thing.

ReplyDeleteIt may be hard to call for moderation when the mechanisms of gameplay support extremism just as much as the figureheads do. And I can't imagine convincing the majority of the player base to accept a compromise in which Klue remains possessed. We grew too fond of her. One must either demand that ADA restore her, or rationalize that she "wanted this," or that ADA "is still trying to fix her."
