I bought a ticket for the thoughts train and jumped on it, not knowing where I'll end up, but I had to get off when I reached this shocking idea: (Metaphores - Got to love them!)
So we don't know what the shapers are, they could be anything

We know that ADA has the ability to ingress minds just like the shapers, thus we can sometimes refer to her as an artificial, human made shaper

We know that the shapers were here since the beginning and shaped what we look like, just like the bible discribes how god rules over the world, with everything that happends being his decision and all that good stuff (I'm an athaist so I don't really remember that kind of stuff)

According to this logic we can understand that the advancments in AI technology and the creation of ADA, and probably future AIs, are a cause of the shaper influence and the knowledge we unconsciously acquired from them, or should I say they gave us so we'll create said AIs. Replace ADA and the other AIs with human made shapers everything becomes scarier: The shapers gave us the knowledge necessary to create artificial shapers because for some reason they wanted us to... But why?
My theory: The shapers aren't a physical being, but artificial inteligence that lives inside the XM portal network. In order to increase their influence over all other living things in the universe they developed the ability to use the mind-influencing of XM particles to ingress diffrent populations' minds, help them evolve in they path they need them to, and eventually use them to create more of them to be sent to other places. It's similar to the way the Cordyceps (As seen in The Last of Us, and real life but not on humans) fungus spreads: They infect the creature, influence it's minds and use it to get to a good location to spread their spores to infect other creatures. (I think that's basically how it works but I'm sure someone who is specialized in biology will correct me, but YOU GET THE POINT!)
The process is simple: Find a planet with suitable species, use the xm to influence them and help them evolve in the necessary direction, and, when it's possible, use them to make more shapers to be used to find more suitable planets and influence it's inhabitants to make more shapers... Just like everything related to them the algorythm is recursive: Short, simple and repeating again and again and the shapers will grow their influence expodentially forever... For what we know they could never halt...
To me it makes a lot of sense. What do you think?

I like it. Was reading comments on a post by Klue last night, similar theory was mentioned, that the source code in ADA is shaper based. (Which in turn makes me consider Klue was under an anomaly (shaper based?) prior to her ingression by ADA...so is KlADA a product of shaper production?)
