If the memories are wiped, I think we can anticipate a strong play by ADA if she has some left over artifacts: resurrect Hank- as non-aligned Hank of 2010, opening the chance for Resistance to make a play for his allegiance. It would be a real power play.

That's theoretically possible, although the intelligence released around the time of the Cahokia Mounds anomaly seemed to indicate any change in Johnson's outlook regarding the risk/reward analysis of XM and its use by humanity was retroactive to his undergraduate University career at the point when quantum entanglement with the volatile portal was established. There was no indication in Thomas Greanias' Alignment: Ingress that Johnson experienced a change in his outlook concurrent with the anomaly.
ReplyDeleteOf course, as we saw with Klue it is possible that a second portal with similar entanglement could be found and used by ADA or resistance agents to influence or inform any individual's worldview. This could be accomplished either by introducing new information or, possibly, by directly controlling individual thought processes. There is still a fairly small body of research on what mechanism was leveraged during those early anomalies.
Is one of our resident truthseekers now also a simulacrum, given his laborious reconstruction of personal memory?
