A message from Misty Hannah, or rather from somebody through Misty.
I find it interesting in light of Edgar Allan Wright's musings of if he is in a zero sum game. The idea that, for each new thing he learns, he will forget two things. Implying a shrinking pool of understanding.
While Misty's poem states that for each known thing there are two things waiting to be discovered. I think there might be a more literal meaning to this than just representing the potential to expand understanding exponentially. But the sentiment is still there.
What do you think this poem means? Is she talking about Carrie... coming as it does on the heals of Hank Johnson's post about Carrie Campbell?

Truth is an evolving thing as we are evolving. Truth as all things in this existence is subjective, so as we change truth changes with us. The idea that you can know truth as a static would imply an end. The shadowy manifestation is the idea that what we see is very much like a computer screen. We see the output of the program running unseen. The last part is about the lack of distinction between a symbol, and a thing. Relating to the ideas against graven images.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't clear enough there is too much ambiguity to have any context yet. It's like a fortune of sorts. Fitting all occasions.
