Upon seeing the video of "KlADA" and thinking about all that she's been through, it occurred to me that very little is known about Klue's background. We know things have have happened in her recent past, such as her appearances on PAC's investigation board videos, catching Misty's show at the Magic Castle, changing alignments in Scotland and Portland, her going into a coma after watching glyphs provided by ADA.

I disagree. Jarvis' explanations of the Shaper collective, the "Ultimate", are very similar to concepts from Buddhism and Hinduism. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brahman) The "awakening" process, on the way to the ultimate reality in these ideologies, leads to a destruction of elements of the self, the "ego". Whether this is desirable is debatable. But its true that KlADA has very little of Klue left, if any. :(
ReplyDeleteYik Sheng Lee Fair enough. I haven't done enough research to make a firm stand for that metaphor. I'll get back to you. Its a lot shakier than the Egypt connection, that's for sure. And I really wish Susanna Moyer didn't waste time asking Jarvis if he was fake. And getting angry. Seriously, what did she expect?! That's the only Jarvis-live interview for months, and no questions about future plans, or the nature of the Shapers, or #13magnus , or even Oliver's....conversion. What a missed opportunity.

ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with Krishna Hammond, everything recent from Jarvis sounds very Buddhist to me also. Well said, by the way. You're making the kind of connections that could actually get us somewhere in the "ethics and philosophy" side of the debate.
Jason Polzin "Open all Clear all Open mind, Open Body Open soul" Sounds like a complete erasure for substution rather than upgrade. KlADA is even practicing smiling in the video!

ReplyDeleteI have a mild autism spectrum condition, and smiling didn't used to come naturally for me, so I would practice for hours at a time in a mirror as a child. That's exactly what that looked like to me. Calibrating the facial muscles to display the expression you want, regardless of emotional content. Psychopaths do the same thing. Whatever ADA/Klue has become, I would not trust it as far as I could throw it.

ReplyDeleteWe know that Klue's from Scotland. In the first Klue anomaly she talked about revisiting old places and seeing them anew. She also talked to Misty about her regrets about damaging her relationship with Loeb.
