Thoughts about Wright in response to a comment from JoJo Stratton on the Niantic Project page today. I figured I'd put it here, too. I mean no offense or disrespect to Edgar Allan Wright with this. Just a theory.
Fascinating theory +JoJo Stratton. As best I can tell, EAW was in good shape until somewhere around Whydah. That doesn't mean that his confusion wasn't caused by something that happened at Wanatah but there's no record of anybody thinking he was confused before Whydah. In fact, there is very little record about Wright at all, and yet there is enough to verify that some of what he claims is true, at least from my studies.
The odd thing is that it feels to me almost like not only was Wright's memory redacted and reorganized (or maybe the redaction causes the reorganizing), but peoples memories of him might have also been redacted.
Just a thought. But it leads to an interesting question. Can you global search and replace or delete real memories of people?

ReplyDeleteThey say our memories and experiences are what shape us... Would it follow that shaper "patterning" is the embodiment of both the physical and mental patterning we've created for ourselves?
If so: perhaps, once patterned, it becomes easy to find projections of that pattern within other people.
I'd be curious to see if people close to Hank are having trouble remembering things about him, like Devra. Speaking of Devra, wasn't she involved partly with Waratah? It's interesting how two people close to Devra have had memory issues.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing. If the memory issues are slow to take effect, maybe whatever happened to Hank, happened a while ago. We know a little about Hank's history. Being a sensitive, I wonder if he was involved in Waratah or Whydah
Devra has strong feelings toward Wright. The clarity of her memory (especially if she cannot explain that antipathy) could reinforce or reject the third person shaping hypothesis.

ReplyDeleteYou know I at first thought +Edgar Allan Wright was a pseudonym and he was hiding his real identity. And then there was this conversation between P.A. and ADA about memory (http://www.nianticproject.com/?id=sc313a) it spooked me a little - it also that made me wonder about some of the documents we have seen as she said she'd remove references and yet, we saw references to him... or did we??
But now... the idea that someone can be removed - is that why +Devra Bogdanovich reacted as she did when Edgar's name was mentioned, was not only a person removed, but, alternate memories and thoughts of that person was inserted to "fill" the missing blanks.
That thought... I think if someone could be removed, that scares me more than anything else so far discovered down this rabbit hole
ps in that document ADA mentions "we are the next step in evolution" - it was foreshadowing perhaps
also - if you listen to that and the audio between Calvin and ADA (http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/pac/IB/01/item/chapeau.html) - it seems a contradiction and yet... it seems there are many contradictions around Edgar and ADA and Shapers ;)

ReplyDeleteAs to the question - it is an ENORMOUS thing to do that - thank about what that suggests - to erase the memory of someone from EVERY encounter they have had. Think about how many people you meet, interact with, your recording on digital places, mentions in a brochure when you gave a talk, etc.
the power to do that, the reach and touch, and how do you even do that, how do you know you have truly reached everyone... Clarke's Law? To me that still seems like magic...
JoJo Stratton, Dr. Wright made reference to Devra being of a different mindset. This was after the release of her CDC talk. He spoke of how she thinks she's doing the right thing, but her head is in the wrong place
ReplyDeleteXM exposure sensitives certain abilities (active or latent) and it was posited by ADA in the audio file linked earlier in this thread that ESP cannot be discounted.

I'm not sure I'm down with that theory, but it's a theory none the less.
