Here is my theory on Roland Jarvis' facial hair growth where he resurrected with a goatee and 2 hours later had a full blown beard. Sped up hair growth would be a sign of a sped up life cycle meaning he is probably aging faster than us normal humans. It would also explain why he said he is only among us for a short period of time.
