I'm checking this story out as I chronicle the ever-amazing twists and turns of the Ingress saga, but Serena's not sharing much with me now. And neither is Hank Johnson or Conrad Yeats.
The Vatican's top linguist Serena Serghetti is denying rumors that the just-released AMP link mod--enabling agents to link portals across oceans--is associated in any way with her rumored discovery of an XM "superlink" connecting Rome's ancient Capitoline Hill with modern Washington, D.C.'s Capitol Hill.
All she will acknowledge is her belief that the ancient, supersecret order known as Dominium Dei may well have been the precursor to the 21st century's worldwide economic and political conspiracy she calls The Alignment. And that she suspects that somewhere in time the organization overlapped with 13MAGNUS.
This is important, of course, in light of Roland Jarvis's ongoing war to influence and control the world's political and economic power centers.
Serghetti said, "My hope is that Hank Johnson's and the late Carrie Campbell's unique encounters with the Shaper glyphs, combined with my research into the true origins of 13MAGNUS, will shed more light on what is going on in this world and the Shaper's real end game. Meanwhile, the release of this new--if unstable--AMP link mod to Ingress agents on all sides of the XM spectrum should establish new kinds of connections and revelations."
One "connection" of feverish speculation is that the cosmic link between Ancient Rome and Washington. D.C. spans not only space but time.
