As pretty much expected, yes the second key opens the lock. It does not appear to do anything different than the first, but does work smoother likely due to the less worn teeth. Below are pictures of the key together, as well as more of the lock its self. Note that in the pictures - there is one showing that the hole cover comes off (and to me looks like a different material.) Also - the original key shows some orange rust now, after having been transported by me during the GORUCK​ Stealth and Urban events, during which we got wet several times.

There were recognised groupings of 12 Hittite gods, 12 Etruscan, 12 Greek, 12 Egyptian and...12 Roman... I present this altar of a grouping of Olympian gods as further support of my theory that these gods were based on ancient immortal men and women, simulacra, based in a nest. The third century Greek poet Ennius identified the gods of the Dii Consentes as: Juno, Vesta, Minerva, Ceres, Diana, Venus,Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Neptune, Vulcan,Apollo The Dii Consentes predate the founding of Rome. The way they are depicted on this altar bears a striking similarity to how the ancients might sculpt a representation of a MAGNUS nest. I believe that knowledge of this ancient MAGNUS nest inspired, and was assimilated into, broader Graeco-Roman mythology. If others are willing to entertain this theory, it might help us think about the Aegis and Ancile in a different way. I leave you with the words of the poet Ennius, the oldest source identifying the gods of the Dii Consentes. Perhaps not coincid...

Some interesting questions raised by this Omnivore leak provided by H. Richard Loeb​. 1) Does anyone else find it interesting that Omnivore doesn't identify Hank as 13 Magnus? It does identify Jahan as AntiMagnus and resistance. Either Omnivore is much less informed on this issue than Essex, unlikely, or we were perhaps wrong to attribute a leadership role in Magnus to Hank. 2) How did Jahan "listen in" on Hank's conversation with the Acolyte? Who is backing her? Could it be one of the companies, Visur Technology​, Hulong Transglobal​, IQTech Research​ or has A Detection Algorithm​ decided to provide assistance to Jahan? 3) "traveling under the Aegis of Titus..." Does this mean "Aegis" simply means "protection"? That could be the " code" Obsidius is using but in what sense are they seeking his protection? There is other evidence to suggest the shield(s) are artifacts. Could the "Aegis of Titus" be something else entir...

Here are entries XVII, XVIII and XVIX for Essexian's convenience. A few thoughts have occurred to me: 1) Pliny the Elder's death during his attempt to evacuate Pompeii with the Roman fleet is very strange. Notably, all of his companions with him at the beach, including Pliny the Younger, survive. It is speculated that he could have succumbed to asthma, but it is remarked that when they returned for his body three days later, it didn't have a mark on it. Could Pliny have been a simulacrum? Could he have succumbed to a similar condition to Jarvis? 2) Vesuvius eruption date discrepancy- in a letter from Pliny the Younger to Titus recounting the eruption and death of Pliny the Elder, the date of the explosion is given as August 24. However, considerable archaeological evidence (the clothes people were wearing, the sealed wine bottles) indicates a September or October eruption. Has Dr Edgar Allan Wright decided we needed a foothold in the rural midwest?

As someone who wasn't around for #13Magnus   I was surprised to see a familiar-looking symbol as I read through the Niantic Project Files, Vol. 2. This is probably something fairly obvious to long time players, but I haven't seen anyone point it out yet. Is this simply the shape that these resurrection/simulacrum creation chambers must take at Magnus and Anti-Magnus nests, or is there more of a connection here? With the recovered intel indicating that Obsidius was searching for "Magnus" and the tie between this #Obsidian image, it seems like Obsidian might be sort of a "13Magnus Redux," if you will--a revisiting of the origins of the group and the establishment of their opposition to the N'Zeer, something that ultimately led Obsidius to create his Obsidian Shield which the two factions shall soon be fighting over.
