Kalash of Cultures - Pakistan: http://youtu.be/qEXnEfdvv6s The argument: 1. Watch the video; this Dardic mountain tribe plays polo. They fiercely fought for their independence through the ages, till the British arrived; at which point they adopted some British customs like playing polo on weekends (although they claim they invented the game first). 2. The Kalasha have lived in geographic isolation for so long that their DNA has diverged. But, there are markers to suggest that they come from around the Mediterranean(that is, that they are Dardic). There are 2 theories as to how they got there: a. They were travellers along the silk route who decided to settle in a scenic location and sell spices, apricots and cherries (the latter two do not grow in the subcontinent, only in the Mediterranean; and with no contact with the outside world for centuries, there's no other way they could've gotten these fruits) b. They are descendants of Alexander the Great 's armies; who ref...
I think but I'm not sure that the dark xm we find now is what is left on the earth from thousands of years and just like oil we could run out of it, so it is normal to find it as terrestrial source
ReplyDeleteMattia Vassalli So, it could have been brought to earth via a mechanism similar to the portals currently existing and "settled" somehow?
ReplyDeleteYes, at least i think
ReplyDeleteCM definitely seems to be bound with certain rare elements. In some cases it even transmutes organic matter to rare elements. Created/comes from is a deeper question, though.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on a script for an Essex branded mission discussing XM/CM and will likely be asking more questions like this as I go along--thanks for the responses.
ReplyDeleteYou are now! :)
ReplyDeleteCan i join too?
ReplyDeleteI think Yik Sheng Lee posted on that before. It's out of the scope of my current research, but is an interesting question.
ReplyDeleteQuantumingress Effectingress I've never seen CM mentioned as being emitted from portals, nor is it collectible by our scanners. A small amount is contained in XMPs, but not in any great quantity,. CM is also apparently quite hard to come by, since OLW was able to exhaust Hulong's entire supply when he sharded Jarvis.
ReplyDeleteThe First & Foremost at present, there has been no evidence of a measurable difference between enlightened and resistance aligned XM or control fields, apart from whether they are more easily utilized by Shaper/13MAGNUS or N'zeer/Anti-magnus forces.
ReplyDeleteTo the best of my knowledge, neither faction, nor any of the XM objects used via the scanners utilize CM other than the small amount within XMPs and Ultrastrikes.
ReplyDeleteOnly reference I've ever seen/heard about the use of CM in constructs was in the Ingress Year 2 IR report summary video, as a throw-away mention by Susanna.
ReplyDeleteQuantumingress Effectingress despite that claim having been made from the start, there has never been any evidence to support it. To the contrary, in fact, during a recent anomaly (Helios, I believe) ADA directly and openly admitted to being able to access and influence human minds through Resistance control fields in exactly the same manner the Shapers are purported to do through Enlightened fields. The claim that Resistance fields protect our minds from influence is generally considered debunked at this point.
ReplyDeleteThis has turned into a tangent from my original post, and has also started getting a little heated. Please start a new post to discuss the impacts of resonated fields (E or R) on the minds they cover.
ReplyDeleteIf a portal emits both xm and cm, why don't we see the transmutation effects around portals?
ReplyDeletePaul Fritschle I would imagine it's because the quantities of CM at a portal are so minute. From what I've seen, it seems like you need a certain threshold concentration of CM before there's any statistically significant danger.
