Similarities. This is much more geometric. While that looked like some kind of mask, this one looks like a skull viewed through the lens of Ingress's hexagonal obsession.
Half tempted to start a rumor that Dan Aykroyd's Crystal Head Vodka is the next new sponsor after Doritos.
Adam Gilmore assuming the two top parts don't connect, it is also reminiscent of a wolf or some other canine. I like the locomotive idea too. It looks a lot like the transformers symbols for autobots and decepticons morphed together. Maybe its meant to speak to a machine synthesis, like ADA is planning. But here is a fact: that would make one badass patch.
Possibly a reference to the Crystal Skulls? I always wondered if they'd be involved in the Ingress existence and XM research. They've always been dubbed as methods of data storage, so perhaps they transmit ordered data through XM.
Bump: saw the 'skull' on this piece of artwork, if you long press the picture it highlights the upper left corner which shows the skull and what I am assuming are morse code markings... https://plus.google.com/100575805686606884990/posts/JuabkziHJmj (edited to add link. Oops.)
*Is Abaddon to be feared?* My argument is no. I'm interested in knowing the origin of the cited scripture. Or is it scripture? It looks like it may be another person's version of the scripture which comes across as... It feels evil and foreboding. I have 2 sources that paint a different picture. In biblical text the apostle John translated the Hebrew word Abaddon to Greek which is Apollyon. Apollyon means “Destroyer,” and is given as the name of “the angel of the abyss.” Though most reference works apply this name to some evil person or entity, the whole setting of the apocalyptic vision in Revelation is to the contrary. It consistently portrays angels being used by God to bring woe and destruction upon His enemies. Not the devil or his demons. Destruction is not always evil. The Interpreter’s Bible says: “Abaddon, however, is an angel not of Satan but of God, performing his work of destruction at God’s bidding.” It wasn't until the 19th century that the 'angel of the a...
Kalash of Cultures - Pakistan: http://youtu.be/qEXnEfdvv6s The argument: 1. Watch the video; this Dardic mountain tribe plays polo. They fiercely fought for their independence through the ages, till the British arrived; at which point they adopted some British customs like playing polo on weekends (although they claim they invented the game first). 2. The Kalasha have lived in geographic isolation for so long that their DNA has diverged. But, there are markers to suggest that they come from around the Mediterranean(that is, that they are Dardic). There are 2 theories as to how they got there: a. They were travellers along the silk route who decided to settle in a scenic location and sell spices, apricots and cherries (the latter two do not grow in the subcontinent, only in the Mediterranean; and with no contact with the outside world for centuries, there's no other way they could've gotten these fruits) b. They are descendants of Alexander the Great 's armies; who ref...
EDIT: I'll change this to the appropriate location if this doesn't belong here. SO, I'm curious to ask: Dr. Edgar Allan Wright revealed his thoughts that Amaziah might be a 'prime artifact hunter'. I want to know, can we think of any individuals either within this Investigation or within human history that could also be Hunters, either operating for the 13MAGNUS or Anti-MAGNUS?
Looks a lot like this image that was doing the rounds mid-January. Edit: updated with more reliable link to the relevant Ingress post: https://plus.google.com/+Ingress/posts/6a2CjXVrTgx
ReplyDeleteLooks like the front of a locomotive to me.. with a cow catcher.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we have to create fields to herd cattle next?

Also that big "X" right in the middle that forms the eyes or nose makes me think of Verity.

ReplyDeleteI didn't see that X! Great catch.
Has anyone tried breaking the symbol down? It looks a lot like a Recursion R if it was condensed and pushed together with a mirrored R.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the Man in the Iron Mask...
ReplyDeleteEdgar Allan Wright didn't you mention some research you'd done on crystal skulls at one point?
ReplyDeleteNo crystal skulls.. please!!
ReplyDeleteKlueformers.... ADA in disguise.

ReplyDeleteHey.. maybe its not a skull.. maybe its the cave map to where Hank's body is located. X marks the spot?
