Dunraven was a British Navy war ship that sank in 1917 after being attacked by a U boat.

ReplyDeleteKevin Shaw it was disguised as a merchant vessel and all the weapons and soldiers were hidden from view. A U-boat fired a few pot shots and as a result the ships disguises were uncovered and the U-boat made further attacks.

If you look beyond the Dunraven and just at the symbol itself, the 8 spoked wheel is the symbol of Buddhism with each spoke representing one of the points on the 8-fold path
