    The new development is probably related with Akira having gained knowledge (access?) about the prime (Osiris) dimension.
    From what we heard in her conversation with Hank at the end of the past anomaly, she has learnt the ways and has the means to affect that other dimension. I'm pretty sure she will be harvesting knowledge and maybe what else from that dimension in order to advance her search for more knowledge
