TL;DR: new Deaddrops - this time 4 drops to be put together to one document.
When earlier this week we discovered an upcoming deaddrop in Dresden, Germany, I contacted a few friends from our beautiful state capitol and asked them whether they'd be up for searching for it. claudi told me that even though she was part of the MD Orga, she had a bit of time to spare and so we agreed to have a look together once the drops started happening.
Meanwhile Essex had started looking for possible portal candidates that would somehow fit the theme of the previous drop location (the TESLA statue). We started piecing together the other redacted documents and trying to make sense of the text. Ishira Tsubasa contributed a lot to filling the gaps but we were no step closer to figuring out a pattern for where the next drop would happen. I still had an Idea (a statue dedicated to Friedrich Schiller - inspired by the investigation of "Liminal Continuum") which I posted on the G+ post of Ishira Tsubasa as my guess.
Additionally, YutoRaion had built a tg bot that would inform us about changes made to the code of the http://ts-morpheus.com website.
So when Thursday arrived, we were somewhat prepared, at least as good as our level of intel allowed. YutoRaion made adjustments to the frequency of the tg bot, claudi had made her way to the city center (which was identified as the general location of the drops) and I was monitoring both the TG bot and operating.
The first drop was reported by the website, a photo named "itsWindy" (describing the bronze statue "Bacchus auf dem trunkenen Esel reitend"). I sent the photo to claudi and like an expert local, she knew exactly where to go. There she found an envelope marked with the UNBOUNDED glyph. Assuming the same theme of the previous drop, we wanted to have a look at the contents of the envelope - which seemed to be a document that was cut to pieces.
To our surprise, YutoRaion's tg bot reported more changes to the website, indicating more drops. This time the "Friedrich Schiller" statue that I had suspected a day before. claudi said that that location is on the other side of the river and due to bridge construction works would take a while to reach. Before she even arrived, the website indicated more drops (#3, "Dreikönigskirche"), which I forwarded to her. Arriving at the Schiller statue, she searched but couldn't find anything. So after she was certain that there was nothing, we suspected that the dead drop had either been stolen or blown away by the strong wind of the day.
She arrived at the "Dreikönigskirche" when the 4th drop was announced (#4 "Der Goldene Reiter" shown by a picture namend "fridavgvstvs"). At first she told me that again there was nothing there but following her intuition she finally found another dead drop (an envelope marked by the glyphs DISCOVER and DATA). At that point we knew that we first had to gather all of them before assembling the document so she continued to the "Goldener Reiter". As that statue is very famous, there were lots of tourists around (making us worry that one of them might've removed the envelope). At that point we also had discovered that the fotos indicated the perspective from which to look for the envelope so claudi quickly found it (an envelope with the CLEAR-ALL glyph).
At that point the Website had announced the 5th drop location: "horses" (describing the sculpture "Elbe in Bewegung", which shows a oceanic god on a hypocampus). claudi arrived and (already familiar with the style of drops by the "PI") she quickly found the next envelope (marked with the RESISTANCE and ENLIGHTENED glyphs).
The comments of the website indicated that the last drop had been found but conflicting to that the "PI" was still roaming the city. Uncertain whether we should wait for more drops or start assembling the document we waited until suddenly the website displayed several photos made by "PI" showing claudi with the names "retrieved", "watching", "always" and "alldropsreceived".
Still a bit frustrated that we were unable to find the drop near the Friedrich Schiller statue, we called the search off for the time being. Claudi returned to her swag sorting and Ishira Tsubasa started analysing the glyphs on the envelope. A little bit later Catalina Reyes pointed out that the url that previously was connected to the foto showing the Friedrich Schiller statue now showed an image of a red herring, so I informed claudi that what we assumed to be the location of the second drop was a diversion. Later that day, she sent an image of the assembled document - containing a dialogue between "beta" and "pi".
And with that this little adventure concludes and the next phase of whatever TS-Morpheus has in store may start.
