"What is the nature of November Lima​​?" Part 8 in my ongoing series of polls is concerned with the nature/purpose of this former NIA van.

NL1331 is shrouded in mystery; it appears that the list of people authorised to know its true nature is incredibly short.

I agree with others who have proposed that it is a specially adapted vehicle that can house the natural bodies of simulacra.

Other common theories include the idea that it is simply a mobile portal. Additionally it has been suggested that it is an experimental prototype powered by xm rather than fossil fuel. There is also some sort of connection between Hubert Farlowe​​ and NL1331 that is yet to be fully understood. Perhaps it's primary function has something to do with Farlowe.

Finally, there are a myriad of alternative theories that space doesn't permit me to include here. Suffice to say, other views are always welcome. As always, being in the minority is not neccesarily a bad thing. Whatever your views compared to others, these polls should give us all something to consider or reconsider.

    I think it's an Amplified XM attraction vehicle which draws XM from the rips in the fabric of reality and leaves a trail of XM in its wake.

    "His body(in regards to Roland Jarvis post-CERN Extraction) was transported in a vehicle believed to be known now as November Lima to the CDC. From there, my understanding is that the corpse was spirited away to an unknown destination."  

    "It is also known that 1331 (either because of the prolonged exposure to Jarvis' body or due to advanced XM technology in the van) has unknown and mysterious capabilities. If I had to guess, it's probably both. The NIA would have been quick to find a way to exploit the strange properties Jarvis' body imparted on the vehicle."

so, general question.

so, general question... we know that ADA passed the "turing test", we also have many studies showing how the turing test can actually be gamed by very complex programming and in fact you can write programs to create the allusion of AI for many (the chinese room thought experiment).  At what point are we certain that she began acting on her own and has not been following a program and orders by someone else.  Are we certain that those orders that she delivered for Jarvis and others and even the Katalena pre Zurich encounters, were not done on the orders of some programming.  NOt to call ADA a gun, but how certain are we she is not?  How can we prove, beyond doubt, that she is truly a separate entity working on her own and not some other programming? I would like to call for the evidence and proof that ADA is a complete entity. I am beginning to catalogue a list of Transdimensional Objects which appear to be inert artifacts, but, in fact, have actual technological capabilities when exposed to XM or present in a Nest.  Let us start with  the Shōnin Stone (which I believe to be broken at this point).  We know that it functions as something analogous to part of a circuit board or a key, depending on how you perceive it.  There is also Azmati's Dagger (or is it Alexander the Greats, I can't remember) that was used to test for simulacra. My feeling is that there are more such objects.  I am trying to catalogue them.   And as a thought experiment, what other objects must there be that have not yet been found?
