Kalash of Cultures - Pakistan: http://youtu.be/qEXnEfdvv6s The argument: 1. Watch the video; this Dardic mountain tribe plays polo. They fiercely fought for their independence through the ages, till the British arrived; at which point they adopted some British customs like playing polo on weekends (although they claim they invented the game first). 2. The Kalasha have lived in geographic isolation for so long that their DNA has diverged. But, there are markers to suggest that they come from around the Mediterranean(that is, that they are Dardic). There are 2 theories as to how they got there: a. They were travellers along the silk route who decided to settle in a scenic location and sell spices, apricots and cherries (the latter two do not grow in the subcontinent, only in the Mediterranean; and with no contact with the outside world for centuries, there's no other way they could've gotten these fruits) b. I wonder if Jarvis will next. We don't have much recorded direct interaction between the two. I'm curious how that would okay out, especially in light of recent developments.
ReplyDeleteI am very curious about that as well David Timothy and I am going to jump in here with something I mentioned elsewhere - something that SETAI may "prove"
ReplyDeletewhat makes a group a group?
1. is it the leadership?
2. the members
3. is there a mission that is always followed no matter what?
If it is 3 - then SETAI should be made up of members from both factions and it does not matter who is "leading it" it will have the same mission, regardless.
This is a major reason why I am curious - what makes a group a group.....
What do we know about SETAI? We believe it was founded by Jarvis, although they never posted with his name attached. It predates our knowledge of the Acolyte.
ReplyDeleteCorrect. The first we heard from SETAI was after the March 22, 2014 Recursion anomalies (I remember watching the video on my phone while standing out in the park after the anomaly) https://youtu.be/Ugow4b1pQLI. The Acolyte didn't surface until almost a year later (after the February 2015 Shonin anomaly, another memorable event, right JoJo Stratton ☺). I remember Jarvis resharing one of their posts too or mentioning them in public posts? (I'll try to find that as well).
ReplyDeleteLol. I just went back and read the description on that video: "Roland Jarvis announces the formation of a new organization..."
