From what I know of, ENL control of the Anomaly has shifted OLW's stance towards the N'zeer. He also asks ENL to control Schubert and Kureze's patterns, which they failed to do.
I find it interesting that OLW, in the first message, was so ready to join the N'zeer but now it doesn't sound like he's trapped. It sounds more like to me that he's against N'zeer expansion. What are your thoughts?

IMO, OLW has always been after knowledge for the sake of knowledge. Jarvis wasn't forthcoming, so Ollie turned against him and threw his lot in with Calvin and the N'zeer. Apparently, that didn't work out too well for him!

ReplyDeleteTo expand, I think what is being fought for is influence/control. Will the target be enthralled/persuaded/dominated/whatever by the N'zeer or the Shapers? What is being offered by the two Powers won't change--just how they are viewed.
ReplyDeletemakes me wonder about that image Tycho created around the time of DC showing what appeared to be a shaper attack on OLW. Knowing what we do now is it possible that they saw him as most likely to disrupt the portal barrier? Could he have been maneuvered into that position to distract from the true AM program?
