Sounds like paranoia to me.
ReplyDeleteSarah Rosen The good doctor has been known to have memory issues. However, given a recent Niantic Project post in which the xm corporations are actively seeking him for an unknown reason, it may also not exactly be paranoia.
ReplyDeleteAnd to add to that, it was H. Richard Loeb who once said "Paranoia is a good thing. It keeps you alive." :-)
I think Edgar Allan Wright is a wise man. I won't give credit only to paranoia after all what we've seen. He must be careful.
ReplyDeleteSarah Rosen is a possible ADA host; I always pay attention to the theories she dismisses out of hand. The lack of subtlety is what one might expect from an AI not yet totally versed in human interactions.
ReplyDeleteSo, we were suspecting this since the last leaked info from the corporation, it would not be surprised if they were not only after the doctor but a good part of Essex too. Mustafa Said and JoJo Stratton be specially careful. After all you seem to have a good relationship with the doctor
ReplyDeleteHe's not young… his involvement in this goes back decades. That would account for a number of thing… however we do have that IQTech Research comment about trying to obtain him for an "interview." That alone increases the possibility that "it's not paranoia if they are out to get you."

ReplyDeleteYou know, I and many always thought this document http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/pac/IB/06/item/thegrid.png and Devra's words about Dr. Wright were because of contempt - but what if she was just trying to protect him, what if she kept him out of the Niantic Project just to make sure he was not swept into things?
JoJo Stratton now if A Detection Algorithm were all that you would think she would have known what Bowles was up to. Or certainly that Klue S. would sabotage her.
ReplyDeleteWell Sarah Rosen there are a number of things to consider about ADA - she is at her core still a program and especially early on in her development, there are potentials for backdoors (such as Metis, Truthseeker, X, etc. and similar - https://niantic.schlarp.com/investigation:documents:metis) - so there is potential that there can be "programs" within that the larger program has no knowledge about.

Also, it is still not really known what ADA's, Calvin's and many others' motivation really is, so it could be a case ADA did know and it was all a ploy all along.
Mildred Cady I agree -- ADA knows there's some validity in his fears. But she doesn't want us to be afraid of the N'Zeer, so she downplays it.
