Interesting. I believe empathy can be learned by children and does increase with age if it's instilled. What surprised me was the number of adults that just walked by and didn't do anything when the kids were attacking the robot...
ReplyDeleteThis is not relevant. In order to approach relevance, the robot would have to have told one of the kids that it was time to meet her mother at the Zurich HB and then called in an assassin. Then maybe we might think of things in a different manner.

ReplyDeleteTyphoon Jim I'm not sure if you were trying to be funny with the severity of your relevance comment, but the absurdity of the visual made me laugh. 😀 Seriously though, mob mentality is an important factor to consider. Sometimes some of the leaks that come our way seem to be intentionally designed to start trouble.
ReplyDeleteWe can never be certain of the intentions behind the leaks, J.J. Ramirez. Not unless we knew the person behind it and the whole of his/hers/its agenda. Which equals never. Too many events fron the past show we've been misguided intentionally.
ReplyDeleteWe do, on the other hand, show a tendency to interpret the informations according to our current beliefs, which sometimes fools us even better. Sometimes it draws us closer to the Truth, but the problem is we cannot determine which of the relations is true not knowing the Truth.
A kind of enervating situation, don't you agree?

ReplyDeleteI kind-a generalised the thought, which I think is still valid, because we do not know Verity's intentions and goals. What I warned of is that we're being constantly manipulated with chosen truths at a chosen points in time.
Topssy Rashka Alen Matošović It is hard to tell what Truthseeker's agenda is. Needless to say, this particular system is very selective in what it leaks. Doubtless for self-defense in many cases as in the METIS report and other similar things, but this system has a great deal of access and only tells us but so much.
