They were called "The Shapers' worst nightmare" by Hank. It would be entirely reasonable to believe that they are enemies. What kind of enemies, we don't really know do we?
ReplyDeleteReason isn't the death of creativity. Reason is a tool. What destroys creativity is stasis. The Shapers see the universe from an atemporal perspective. Creatures who do not are endlessly interesting to them. Perhaps the N'zeer see this as a falsehood and wish to simply collapse this false perspective into a perfectly ordered reality. It is not death, but it is certainly an ending.

ReplyDeleteBased on what I know, the N'Zeer are not unbeatable. They are threat to Shapers and (probably) to humans humans exposed to xm, but the end is not inevitable.
