Good afternoon, Investigators of Operation Essex. My name is Mustafa Said and welcome back to Today in Niantic History. 

Today is August 19th, 2014. One year ago today a document surfaced on the Niantic Project Investigator Board.

It was a conversation between H. Richard Loeb and Carrie Campbell. The topic: #Cassandra . 

While Richard was obviously worried about the state of the situation, Carrie seemed to have a plan in motion to stop whatever was coming.....

    It is interesting to note that Jarvis was trying to offer a lot of what ADA is offering...immortality & knowledge... But this could also be what Roland Jarvis calls the "Ultimatum".

    I wonder if Carrie would still wish death upon Jarvis in his current state, or does his human form make him less potent? Less of a threat?

    Too bad I joined the Investigation only after Carrie had died. She seems like a gal with a lot of spunk for sure.

    What does Jarvis know about his "friends" besides what they tell him? ADA has been caught staying that the shapers are doing the right thing, but moving to slow. Has anyone entertained the idea that the shapers are an advanced technological race of AI? As it is with any group attempting to maintain an air of mystery, they only tell us what we need to know. How does Jarvis know they haven't done the same to him.

so, general question... we know that ADA passed the "turing test", we also have many studies showing how the turing test can actually be gamed by very complex programming and in fact you can write programs to create the allusion of AI for many (the chinese room thought experiment).  At what point are we certain that she began acting on her own and has not been following a program and orders by someone else.  Are we certain that those orders that she delivered for Jarvis and others and even the Katalena pre Zurich encounters, were not done on the orders of some programming.  NOt to call ADA a gun, but how certain are we she is not?  How can we prove, beyond doubt, that she is truly a separate entity working on her own and not some other programming? I would like to call for the evidence and proof that ADA is a complete entity.
