Attention Essex

Attention Essex,
UPDATE: For our newer members, always take note of anything posted by Edgar Allan Wright or posts that include conversation with him in a hangout. Melissa L. just posted such a conversation. EAW is the founder of Essex and a key element to the investigation. He's cryptic, but his input is valuable, just like posts from other sensitives.
With today's announcements, our priority should be on connecting what we know with #Helios . Obviously, information at the moment is limited. I'd recommend checking out the posts of your fellow investigators here at Essex for theories and connections that have been made so far. We are carrying forward a lot of unfinished business from Interitus. Please refer to the Niantic Project posts as far back as early June for references to events that are active, mysteries still unsolved, and Glyphs that are not fully understood.
Please be mindful that this upcoming series of events will have new agents in mind. Our investigation will be most helpful if presented in a way that is as easy to understand as possible.
Oh boy... Unfinished business is right. We're still figuring out Recursion and 13 Magnus is no clearer now than it was at the beginning of the year. More minds to help us will be good. Is the plan still to administer the test to new prospects, Jose Ramirez? Will we be keeping the test updated?
ReplyDeleteSo much work to be done...so little time to sleep... #nosleepever
ReplyDeleteI have been busy with local planning, but I will be back on the hunt for Truth soon.
David Timothy The reach of Essex has expanded greatly, which has presented complications in the test system. It's almost impossible to keep up with all the applicants, and as you mentioned, too many elements simply don't have clear answers these days (and a language barrier for some). For now, we'll be using these pinned posts to guide seasoned investigators as well as new recruits as to what they should be focusing on.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. So do we instruct new recruits to go directly to asking for membership instead of filling out the test first?
ReplyDeleteDavid Timothy Yes, have them request membership. Upon acceptance, they'll know where to go and what to do.
ReplyDeleteThis brings be back to our discussion of watches. Perhaps Helios marks a new beginning of a cycle. The re-advent of Hank perhaps but I digress.
ReplyDeletePost updated. Thanks to Melissa L. for the hangouts post that reminded me.
ReplyDeleteLet's not forget that there are a ton of us that have been here for quite some time who still can't make heads or tails of anything related to the story line or the investigation. Cryptic doesn't begin to describe the principles.
ReplyDeleteWell, if we were going to sum it up for new players, it would be something like that. XM was discovered at during the Higgs-Bosun experiments. It was studied by a group of cross-disicplinary investigators in the Niantic Project. It went bad at Epiphany night thanks to Dr. Lynton-Wolfe's experiment.
ReplyDeleteAfter that fateful event, the Niantic XM Scanner escaped the lab and was released as a game by an unknown source. Some think it was the NIA to do secret harvesting. Some think it was Ben Jackland. In any case, the NIA decided it was good for continuing their experiment throughout the world.
The rest of the story is really a long study in the effects of XM on various different characters and the reactions they have to XM and the spread of influence from a mysterious alien intelligence code-named the Shapers.
The most recent event was that Devra Bogdanovich unleashed a vaccine that she hoped would shut down portals. Dr. Lynton-Wolfe (Enlightened) released the iOS (HeliOS?) upgrade to defeat her.
Within each sentence above are many events and characters and questions and controversies, but those are the basics with which to begin the investigation.
flint dille bogadanovich released a virus. The vaccine is a seperate storyline. The vaccine is against the effects of XM on the general population.
ReplyDeleteFrom the clues of late in fear there will be a second portal virus
Bloop..doh!
ReplyDeleteOK accidentally deleted last message..The test was on the front page when I joined. I never took it as it was down afterwards. I could use an invite to the hangout still :[
