    Oh snap. Transdimensional Intelligence. Intel Zombie.. a Data Ghost. Trapped remnants of neural relays which can be heard/communicated with and occasionally interacted with for a period of time after the sender/host has left this realm/dimension. A person can die or be killed but if NIA has the means (and they probably do) they can preserve those neural relays as any other energy and deposit them somewhere for safe keeping or perhaps further development... interesting.

    That is a strong possibility Melissa L. . There may be countless side effects of this inoculation of the xm matrix. What if the Xm is reacting against the virus..?

    James Thirteen If we assume that the doctors mannerisms are related to changes in the xm field then the virus could in fact affect him..

    James Thirteen If sensitives are just people who have adapted to function with a certain amount of XM, a virus that spreads along the same means sounds like it could effect such people.

    Devra said she was working on a vaccine not a virus... But the exposure time will not be a significant factor.The virus was released to the xm matrix and started affecing portals worldwide.. The effect may have been instantaneous.. however we are still speculating after all.. We can sort this out when the doctor comes back online...

    For a vaccine to work there should be a functioning immune system.. and something for the immune system to recognize.. How she planned to do that with xm is beyond me.. for human innoculations.
    The far simpler answer is to disrupt the xm matrix itself, again how she did is beyond comprehension. But it will solve the logistical nightmare of vaccinating the total human population.
    I want to know about the trials she spoke of and how she arrived at that mortality rate..

so, general question... we know that ADA passed the "turing test", we also have many studies showing how the turing test can actually be gamed by very complex programming and in fact you can write programs to create the allusion of AI for many (the chinese room thought experiment).  At what point are we certain that she began acting on her own and has not been following a program and orders by someone else.  Are we certain that those orders that she delivered for Jarvis and others and even the Katalena pre Zurich encounters, were not done on the orders of some programming.  NOt to call ADA a gun, but how certain are we she is not?  How can we prove, beyond doubt, that she is truly a separate entity working on her own and not some other programming? I am beginning to catalogue a list of Transdimensional Objects which appear to be inert artifacts, but, in fact, have actual technological capabilities when exposed to XM or present in a Nest.  Let us start with  the Shōnin Stone (which I believe to be broken at this point).  We know that it functions as something analogous to part of a circuit board or a key, depending on how you perceive it.  There is also Azmati's Dagger (or is it Alexander the Greats, I can't remember) that was used to test for simulacra. My feeling is that there are more such objects.  I am trying to catalogue them.   And as a thought experiment, what other objects must there be that have not yet been found?
