Why do we perceive Shapers as aliens?
Why do we perceive Shapers as aliens? If they have left their imprint in many ways on human history, don't we know them already?

Stop ADA from destroying what ADA doesn't understand. Be #enlightened #xmforall
Seeing their effect does not equate to understanding. We have yet to understand why some civilizations are built with XM, and some are destroyed. Until their motivations and desires are understood, they are very alien. It seems more like humans are pawns to either side.
ReplyDeleteThe "Shapers are Aliens" concept is one of Zeke Calvin's, with little or no basis in supporting evidence.

This sounds more like the ramblings of a mad man, than a scientific theory backed by sound evidence.
I would argue that the Shapers are just as "human" as the highly evolved apes that listen to them. The ones who don't listen are the ones who would rather destroy than create. Violence is an animalistic urge; creation is an act of deity. Which would you say is more human? We are our own gods, in a very literal sense.
